Loved this ep.  Something about Castle makes me have to watch the show like 2 or 3 (or 4, who am I kidding ) times before I appreciate the genius in the writing.  This was especially true with 'Famous Last Words', which I absolutely did not like.  Having watched it again though I have to admit it was better than I thought.

Like everyone else I loved the coffee scene and the fact that Beckett did not go off on Castle.

Not a fan of Marc Blucas per se, but he did a great job with a very well written part for a guest star.  He was in a lot of scenes.

Not sure how many of you remember but the diplomat character was also in one of my all time favorite unrequited love story shows, Le Femme Nikita.  He was a super bad villian and very important to how the show ended.

FYI, there is a youtube clip of some behind the scenes, borderline stalker, footage of Castle and you can see it is from this episode and specifically the scene were they cuff the driver in order to search the vehicle.

FINALLY got to the see the 1st half.  All caught up now.  :D

Wasn't Martha great in this one?!  I wish we could meet Chet… he seems like a sweetie.  Poor guy though, Martha can't seem to make up her mind.  I hope she reconsiders- I like happy endings all the way around.  Oh, and I'd like a call, text, or tweet next time there's an ice cream tasting, too.  Thanks. ;)

I LOVED the parallels drawn between Jeremy and his ex-wife and Castle and Beckett.  They seemed to be everywhere.  When she's describing what made her fall in love with Jeremy in the first place, that absolutely made me think that those are some of the qualities that Kate likes about Rick.  And I felt that the whole story of the painting and the 'love smudge' (SO CUTE) also sounded like something Castle would do, doesn't it?

Yeah, and Rider Strong was odd… too much like how I remembered him on Boy Meets World.  The whole time all I could think was 'Well, things have not turned out well for Shawn Hunter.'

How nice to see Dr. Holloway again!  Think he'll be a semi-regular?

Hadn't seen any of the other guest cast before.  But I really liked everyone, especially the guy who played Jeremy.

Great comments guys..  (and ditto to Ashley..the quick avatar queen he he).  My thoughts on this episode are:

First, agree on all the above (especially the "one knee","work wife" "disapproving, judgemental", "you aren't saying anything worth paying attention to" all funny).  But I did remember previously the coffee offering to Ryan was extremly hot he had to set it down..  just saying..

Next, I really noticed that Castle wasn't up moving around during the (mirrored room) interigations this episode.. instead, the camera was moving around the room – it was very interesting and great camera work. This episode camera work really stuck out with the second viewing.

I have heard the "ice bullet" thought process before in a different show.. but loved Castle really pushing the thought along with the very funny fleas with mini guns…  Plus, the way Stana delivered the name Mr. Harun's name.. wow.

One line made my hand itch (to slap) said Mr. Harun "The fairer sex can be shallow"  (great acting and delivery of a very sexist line) and did you see Beckett's face.. Oooohh. smack him for me.. he he

Finally, I loved the dog, Lucy. Castle kisses with her melted my heart from the beginning of this episode and knowing Stana wants a dog made it that much more adorable to me. (On a personal note, my little beagle Lucy passed away in May this year so this Castle fan was touched.)

Great episode!  Agree with what everyone has said above about funny lines/moments and I did notice the parallels between Jeremy/his ex and Beckett and Castle.  

On one of my hulu viewings, I noticed that during the interrogation at the end of Darius the assistant, the Superintendent statement that Beckett shows to Darius states "… on January __ 2010…"  I guess they didn't anticipate this episode being shown in 2009.  

Also loved seeing the guy who played Mick Stoeopel on La Femme Nikita, Carlo Rota, as Mr. Harun.  

This show really just keeps getting better and better.  A whole month wait for new episodes, ugh…….Well thank goodness I have the season on my DVR and my iPod to keep me company.

One other thing, I was kind of surprised that Castle didn't comment about how "life mirrors fiction" – a la a certain plot point in Heat Wave.

I noticed this, too, during my second viewing. Did anyone catch Castle's reply — after Beckett says "What's up, Castle, are you proposing"? — meaning to is he proposing to Lucy.

He replied "uh, no, just waiting for you"……am I reading between the lines too much?

the fact that the next few lines after that were about her being his "work wife" completely prove that you're not reading too much into things…it was definitely there for a reason. 

You both are too funny!

I LOVED this episode!  SO many cute little hints about a relationship and a very interesting case.  Plus some sweet family moments.  Pretty much everythign I love to see in an episode of this show. 

Haha, ok you got me there.  Better go back and re-watch this one already. ;)

Hey I also wanted to add that Kate Looked really lovely when she was interviewing the ' superficial women' diplomatic guy ( who for a diplomat wasn't very diplomatic..)

she actually has quite alot of make up on for crimefighting.. but.. she looks really lovely..

I like her hair here too.. a bit flatter than usual maybe? hmm..

i adored her hair in that episode.  it looks way better when it's straight and not behind her ears, in my opinion.
