I think his marriage to Gina seemed to be more a marriage of convenience. She seemed to like him more for the money he could generate than

any real feelings of love, but it may not really be fair to the character since she's barely in the pilot. I'm just guessing.

It would be interesting to find out how long he had divorced Gina before we meet him (and Beckett) at the Derick Storm book launch. He seemed pretty bitter towards her there.

Yeah, hard to tell what the story was with Gina since she wasn't around very long. I hope we get to know more about that somehow, whether she returns for some reason or Castle and Beckett talk about her (which you figure Beckett would want to do at some point). Their relationship seemed pretty contentious.

Maybe someone can help me about one thing…Gina was his publisher for his last Storm novel? I don't know enough about the literary world…if Gina was his publisher would she still be involved with the Heat books? Or would he have changed publishers?

I really liked Meredith's character. She is flighty and obviously must have hurt Castle when she cheated on him, but he doesn't seem to hold ill will toward her. It seems to me that he knows they aren't compatible (other than in bed, of course!). And I assumed they married because she was pregnant with Alexis (from Castle's comment in Rose for Everafter). From some interview I saw or read, it seems they have plans to bring her back at some point. I could see her trying to cause problems if Castle and Beckett start to really get close. She really seemed threatened by being displaced as Castle's muse!
