Well what a wonderful episode!!! so much insight into our beloved characters!!! Here are a few thoughts in no particular order – sorry!

Before I do though- What's happening with the forum? I'd love to insert some pictures but I am not getting any kind of tool bar or option to do it.. help???!!!

I was not looking forward to the idea of jealous Beckett.. I was afraid the writer's were going to suddenly turn Beckett into a snappy possessive jealous person – and they didn't( thank you!! and sorry I doubted!!) Beckett was as classy as ever and carried herself with the self-respect I hoped she would… so I am thrilled.. she was jealous, she was afraid and sad too… but she let it play out between Castle and Kyra- I mean she didn't even get that mad with him when she discovered he had seen Kyra when she had asked him not to- I think Beckett was kind to Castle then,gracious.. I thought it was wonderful! She also let it play out when she allowed Castle to play Kyra the tape of her fiance doing her proud- and she let them do it alone.. all the while, keeping her distance and giving them space to do whatever they wanted to do – but all the while, she couldn't help herself and had to watch!! hehehee… Yes it was fantastic that the file was upside down.. that was very funny! I wonder if that was an ad-lib or not..

I loved that Beckett was telling Castle he was too close and he accuses her of thinking he is too close to her(Kyra) – and she freely admits that is what she thinks ( I think he was thinking she would try and deny it) .. but I loved how she proved that he was.. not because he was all gooo goo eyes at Kyra.. but because he wasn't even considering her a suspect – he wasn't being himself and running down all the options.. way to go Beckett.. and she did it calmly and without anger.. I wanted to cheer 'go Beckett'!! She did us women proud!! While I am cheering for Beckett, I love that she wasn't distracted by Castle and his feelings for Kyra- she kept on the case, and did what needed to be done – she caught the murderer she wasn't busy feeling sorry for herself, she got busy checking all suspects! Oh and notice that when she is telling Castle that is not what he would say she says ' that is not what Richard Castle would say' – she uses his first name…. hmm interesting! when she spins her tale of what Richard Castle would usually be saying about now – it's like she is telling him – your better than this!! this isn't you!!! Awh….

The main themes of this episode? well… this episode was all about revealing Castle's character – it was an opportunity for Kate to see the man beneath all the image and jokes. ( love the elevator scene – I didn't know you did real!!) For me, it was the episode where Kate really started to see just who Castle is and that she has real feelings for him!! Up until now, he has been all jokes and flirting and stories and she hasn't really taken him seriously, although no doubt she has always been attracted to him- she figured he didn't have much substance when it came to women…. but now she has evidence that he can choose real!

For Castle, this episode was about growing up…. and letting go. It was wonderful to see him truly, genuinely happy at the end of the wedding.. awh!! Castle had probably been viewing his relationship with Kyra through rose coloured glasses all those years ( rose.. get it??!!) and it was good for it all to be put to rest- and very telling.. Kyra told Castle she wanted space- so he gave her space – loved her response- that she wasn't wanting space ' forever!' Castle didn't chase her, he didn't go after her.. and so because of that – he lost her!! well.. if that isn't a lesson for Castle then I don't know what is!! This could play out in his relationship with Beckett if he hasn't learned this lesson properly!!!

Castle seemed to get lost in the serendipity of it all-his running into Kyra.. and with the shock of it all, so did Kyra.. when they did kiss on their 'secret roof' .. I was much relieved when it went to the wide shot!! hehehee.. oh good..I thought.. got through that.. ( as I had been dreading it coming!!! When i watch this episode again I will skip it! ha haaaa..) I was watching thinking Castle and Kyra are a yin and a yin.. a panda's name.. he needs a yin yang!!!

It was great that they didn't demonise Kyra.. she was a lovely girl.. and it was good to see Castle does fall for real, classy women.. I get why he married meredith.. with the baby and all.. but why did he marry the next nasty one? eww she is soooo ugly.. ( I mean on the inside.. which makes her ugly on the outside too!)

It seems like everyone they know suspects Castle and Beckett are falling for each other – except for Montgomery.. haven't seen any evidence that he thinks it.. but.. it is funny to think in a few episodes time, Castle is linked to Beckett romantically in the press – so it turns out.. all of new york is going to be thinking they are falling for each other!! ha haaa!! I can't wait to see his mother's and daughter's reaction to that.. we hardly saw them this episode.. I love Castle's interactions with them.. shame! Love Alexis stealing his money.. you know, it reminded me of the full moon episode when all the fights are breaking out and Beckett barely registers it- I think Beckett would fit right into their family…

Interesting that Kyra commented on how Beckett calls him Castle.. – we have noticed that too!! hehehee..

Interesting how the day after Castle kisses Kyra on the roof – he shows up with two bought coffees for himself and Beckett – peace offering?? feeling guilty??

It's funny how Beckett sits there with her chair too high just so she can show Castle what he has done. this is brilliant how she does this to him – totally on purpose.. talking about the chair but making it sound like she was talking about the rooftop kiss.. go Beckett!! He is feeling so guilty… I love how she gives him the chance to tell her.. she lets him consider telling her or not.. his angst is very sweet..and her quiet smile is telling isn't it.. Castle passed that test- thank goodness!!

Oh and there goes Castle's ego- he thought she put surveillance on him! ha haaaa.. I love the look on her face when she is showing him the photos silently- and very loudly – like whooooo man you had fun last night!! whoo hooo!!! heheheee.. you are sooo busted!! but.. she isn't angry.. she seems amused by it

Oh looky.. it seems Esposito's wardrobe budget has been increased!! fine threads.. whoa.. and Ryan in a leather jacket? has he been wearing one all this time and I didn't notice?

Awh.. when Castle rejoins Beckett at her desk with a coffee to hear about how Sophie has been paying cash for lots of things – we see he has gotten her a cup of coffee too.. awh…

the snippet about next week's episode looks interesting!! although I do think they have taken some things out of context – based on what we already know about the episode.. Infact the promo for this episode made Beckett seem much more angry with Castle warning him off Kyra than she actually was!

Oh and lastly.. Castle's reaction to Beckett catching the bouquet: Priceless!!!! wish I could post a pic of it.. but for the life of me, I can't see how to!!!

What an insightful post, after watching the episode for the third time last night, i have to agree with your comments.

The thing that impressed me the most was that Kyra had such a different persona than Pheebs out of "charmed" that i couldn't equate her to what i was used to seeing, course there was a few years difference ,but she has not changed a lot in the looks and figure department, and she was my favorite charmed one

Greenyjess: Let's not forget about Martha. And as smart as Alexis is, I don't think it's possible that she doesn't. But she's the only one that hasn't commented on it yet outside of the captain.

Doz: Great points. I agree with pretty much everything you said. However, Castle brings Beckett her coffee every now and then (like a few episodes ago when he spilled her's on her by accident). But it was interesting that he brought coffee in instead of using the machine…

And I agree, I wanted more Martha and Alexis this episode. Glad that we got a lot more Lanie though.

With the onion goggles on, Alexis ask about Beckett, because Beckett is a character in his book, and Castle has told her "you've got to love your characters"…
And in "Home is where the heart is", when they dress up to go to the charity event, she says "My dad, nervous before a date?!!"
So Alexis is on to them as well.

I noticed a few more fun things when viewing this episode for like the 6th time since it aired.What can I say nothing on TV I watch but Castle until Lost comes back.

When Castle and Greg are talking with Beckett while Uncle Teddy is waiting for them, did you see how close Beckett & Castle are standing like a untied front against Greg then when the guys get into each others face Beckett steps out of the way twice, then remarks, Guys, and then steps back when they go at it again and she says something like whoo! To get out of the way because they are fighting over Kyra. Notice Beckett is watching them fight over the same woman and she keeps her cool with Castle.

Another interesting thing, the chair she makes the fuss about the chair but we know it has double meaning and she really isn't talking about the chair.

The chair has been a running gag as is the coffee which I adore both so please writers that be keep them coming.The first time Greg is questioned Beckett makes Castle leave, when she comes out with Greg and Uncle Teddy Castle is watching her and she him from afar they are both upset with each other. I love that long shot look very telling. When he sees her coming he gets out of the chair right away.KUDOS Terri I didn't pick it up the first couple of views I know I am slow that way lol!

I am surprised Castle and Beckett don't have sexy ring tones for each others calls just kidding1 But it would be cute.

The duct tape scene was cute and I think another fun way they could have used this scene would be Beckett calling and calling and finally a few hours later going by the house to find out what happened to him, hear strange noises coming from the apt. and breaking down the door to find Castle all tied up, the jokes would have been priceless but maybe to cliche. Beckett could have had a field day with quips of things to say to him with the duct tape on or off. That would have been a cute way to go. She may have sat down and watched him struggle for awhile and how fun if she had ripped the tape off his mouth then slapped an impulsive kiss on him for fun.

The lines from Casablanca were cute too at the end with Kyra, of all the weddings, in all the world you show up at mine or something along those lines. Right out of Casablanca but didn't wording of course.

When Beckett shows him the photos I loved as each one was shown her facial expressions change then the last one she is like explain this dude! She is jealous but controlled and hopeful he walks away from Kyra. She attending the wedding and sitting next to him shows she wanted to make sure Kyra got married and I think she and Kyra would be friends had Rik not been between them.Maybe in our TV Land minds they are friends because they both care about Rick and so Kyra moves on to a new life and isn't an immediate threat anymore.

Love Rick's expressions when they say anyone here have any reason why these two should not be joined in marriage and he acts like he is going to say something. I expected Beckett to zoom in for a close look to see how he was taking Kyra getting married but she didn't. I loved how he busted up laughing when Kyra about knocked Beckett out with the flower toss really funny. Even Beckett was laughing because she was having a good time too and the threat was gone.

Then a close up of Castle shaking his head at Kyra and he is like saying good Beckett caught the flowers good choice of who to toss it to. He was so happy Kate caught the flowers cause he is finding out how important she is to him more and more each day.

I'm missing the quote and reply button (or, I have the button, it just doesn't work), it's a hassle to quote manually, just would like to tell you all it's so much fun reading your input. Agree with you all.

Another thought: So why is Castle rooting for the husband at the end of the episode? When he's angry with the husband-to-be earlier, is he just looking out for Kyra, or is he jealous? Who does he love more, Kyra or Beckett?

Well, Kyra wanted space, and he gave her space. Becett said they were done, and he stayed away for a while, then he went back, offering her a pony, he would climb the wall, or go under, or create a door… anything. If Beckett went away to get some space – he would give her space, then follow, I think. The reactions he had in episode 201 wasn't about Nikki Heat, in my mind.

I think Castle was so upset with Greg during the interrogation because he suspected him of murder and cheating on Kyra. Castle's feelings for Kyra were clouding his judgment because deep down he wanted Greg to be guilty and be out of Kyra's life. Later on, Castle comes to terms that Greg did none of those things, and is (as he told Kyra) "an honorable man."
