Castle makes the hot list in the new TV Guide under the what to watch.

Interestingly enough they say Nathan Fillion is the one to watch in this episode.

As much as we love Nathan Fillion's sassy side (and a few other parts), it's his dramatic chops that are gonna wow ya when Castle comes up against a killer who may be linked to the murder of Beckett's mother.

This won't be a bad thing in one way we will get to see Castle be grown up and Kate need the comfort of his big strong arms, plus he will see a different side to Kate the one she keeps tightly locked away from everyone even Lanie and maybe even her Father.
She keeps so much inside and maybe she will let him in just a little and this is what scares her and she pulls away from that and this is where we find them in #14 her trying to keep him at bay after letting him in and seeing her vulnerability .

The media is saying #13 is a strong episode for Nathan more so then Stana but having not seen it yet I can't say I don't think so. I have seen the press photos and the promo and I think the press & media tend to short change Stana. I think she will hold her own and then some in #13 and nothing against Nathan I like his acting too just think Stana gets overlooked as half the team of a good show sometimes.

Couldn't agree more. Perhaps we should organize a campaign "More love for Stana on Castle!" She's much more than fantastic, but I'm afraid they don't see her full potential or don't want to use it.

I wait for this episode since so long time, stana seems really great(like always) ; Castle and Beckett are going to get closer !!!

I'm the feeling that the scene where Beckett is crying is after the scene where Dr. Clark Murray who say to beckett that the murderer is the same that of her mother'murderer in the first scene of the episode promo

I could handle some more intimate moments (like dinner at his place, or her place, etc), if anything. I just want to see MORE of the friendship, maybe. Just a smidge. And as for this episode, I have to WORK THAT NIGHT (Agonizing howl), but so help me I am going to do EVERYTHING in my power to get out of work on time so I can be home by 10. I want to watch live!

To Moby Dick – I am so with you on this I came to this show not for the cop stories but for the promo's which showed me this interesting couple. The banter is fun but I a am a woman who loves romance and a good story. I am one who thinks if writing is good and acting is good, a good story can be told without it destroying a show. Castle looks to have some good writing talent and if they can keep making the show fun, mysterious and romantic they can go many seasons with this couple. I am one who looks at Hart to Hart as a parent role model for Castle so to speak. We had this fab looking couple who solved cases and had so much fun doing it, people loved their chemistry so much that to this day they thought they were married in real life. By the way if they ever do go down the road of showing us Castle's father look no farther then Robert Wagner. Nathan looks like a young Robert Wagner.

To fanscapefan& kacy524 I just get frustrated when women actors get overshadowed by the men actors. It's a long time double standard of Hollywood and to give examples. Cybil Shepard, Teri Hatcher, Stephanie Zimbalist, & Kate Jackson were all shortchanged by media and the press when their shows were #1 in their day. It was always stated that the men of the shows carried them.

I too came to castle because of the promos, they highlight the chemistry and connection of the couplein the promos to suck you in, but then the press & media seem to always side step Stana when it comes to her talents. Appears that way to me it is of my opinion only.

of Nathan from OLTL and DH only, seen him in one episode of DH he was sitting on the floor of a bathroom getting ready for a hurricane or something to hit and I said, Oh it's Joey B! I mainly watched him on OLTL for the years he was on that and was so upset when he went off, we had so many Joey's. I later stopped watching soaps after that.

I love Nathan's work on Castle don't get me wrong my interest in him brought me to the show. I then discovered Stana and with the two together wow wow. These two could read the phone book together (yes heads touching) and I'd tune in each week just for facial expressions and voice overs alone from these two fine actors. But I still want my romance and I think both actors are what make this show click plus the wonderful acting of the supporting cast. There is no one cast member of this show who when they come on screen I am yelling, "Get off"

So having said all of this I go back to one of my original posts in this thread now buried on an earlier page. I think when Castle and Beckett are in the station and the guy takes Castle hostage and it looks like Beckett hostage at first. Castle jumps in to protect Beckett – finally and he starts shooting questions at this guy about Beckett's mom's murder to distract the guy long enough for Beckett to distance herself from them and get off a good shot if she needs to. Castle on the other hand pisses the guy off with his methods and then it is Beckett who must shoot the guy who has info on her Mom in order to save Castle, she has to because the guy is waving the gun around getting desperate to get out of the station. Thus all the crying and jazz after that over what they could have found out and maybe they do get a few more clues or pieces to the murder for future episode set ups. Wouldn't it be neat for them to explore the murder together in their off time, bring them closer with clues and they try to solve it together over a period of time, then other murders are going on. How far out would it be if her Mom's murder ((which is already linked to 3 maybe 4 others) opens up to be much deeper then first thought and far wide spread. Some kind of inside federal thing with the Govt. maybe that would be a good tie in with the two parter coming up later in the season, maybe their clues lead to Federal Govt. cover ups or state or senator cover ups and her Mom and several other people may have accidentally stumbled on to something and didn't know it until it was to late and they were murdered for what they might know or others thought they did know. Maybe her Mom uncovered a crime ring, drug ring, slave labor, moffia, over this long ten year period of time who knows think of the possibilities they could go with. How wonderful for the two of them to have this bond between them, the man Beckett is coming to care about helps her solve her Mother's murder and finally maybe some closure all the while falling in love.

yes Musiclover a good idea. How will this effect Beckett will she have to undergo questions from the Capt. on the entire report of hostage to the killing. Det. must go through a bunch of questions after something like this happens to clear everything for the record. Like you say she can end up going back to step 1 where she thinks she put this all in a safe place at the back of her mind, only to find it split wide open and in her face again. On top of that Castle is now in the picture and the pressures he gives her with trying in his style and way to find the answers for her. A lot for her to grasp and if she does close off from him and shut down, won't it be interesting to see how he cuts through that and tries to reach her. Better yet how will it effect her on the job, with this between them and nothing solved oh my my what possibilities.

I still want to draw it out, make the dance more interesting. A lingering hand here, a kiss on the cheek there, things that make us "eeeee" but at the same time are small enough to keep them awkward.

I'm on the same page you are Moby Dick, if we are not sure of how many seasons the show may go, hopefully five or more but if we don't know I don't want a rush job last few episodes of a series to tie it all up. It is fun to take the ride with them and watch them grow granted there will be set backs and good times but I invest in a show for a pay off and I am not talking sex and jumping in and out of bed, showing nude body parts. I am talking good writing, acting and directing which Castle has in spades. I want it to move forward but not at the cost of viewers being shortchanged when ABC decides the show isn't going in the direction they want, right now ABC is behind it lots of times that is the case then they want to push another show and begin moving the series to different nights and time slots.

So I'd like to see season 2 end with them confirming they like each other and going forward in season 3 with dating, secretly or not. I want some action with my leads with each other not them dating others.

A kiss, a hug, hold hands, fighting but give me some loving moments or it's a bust for this viewer.

I still believe we need at least half a season more before something gets finalized. Otherwise, it does feel like rushing to me. Third episode into season three would be nice.

But like I said before, almost kisses and awkward moments are what make me "eeeee" and make the anticipation of their relationship even hotter.

I agree with you Sarah…. the dance is the fun part- are they or aren't they? besides as fans of the C/B pairing, we should be rooting for a long term thing- which means it's gonna take them some time to get to know each other to even get to that point.

Okay Sara. I 'll settle for the third in the third. I don't want to but I will. If it doesn't happen by then,i'm a raving lunatic and i'll be looking for love somewhere else. j/k
