I watched clip one then posted it on Facebook. I'm *such* a fangirl–I'm sure my friends all think I'm a nut!

I can totally see Castle getting his date with Ms. Bachelorette, (I'm sure the gorgeous remark was about her.) then he gloats about his plans to Ryan & Esposito. And then Beckett is trying to figure out where to go with her date, asks for suggestions, and Esposito *happens* to mention the place Castle is going on his date… Beckett disappears, and Ryan tells Esposito, "It was nice knowin' you, Pal." Espo smirks. Can't wait!

Now I need to get off this thread before I break down and watch all 4 clips.

here we go….I'm expecting alot of opinions and comments from this episode with the Beckett dating storyline. I personally like it though- gives room for some fun. And Castle is jealous- it's usually the other way around.

I guess I'm going to be patient here but I'm bordering on done. You move the relationship along to a certain point. Very far I might add based upon the last episode and then you take 5 steps back. I guess I'll wait until I see it but the four clips suggest the writers are playing with their audience. I'm not impressed.

oh, come on! Castle was just all obsessed with Kyra. Turnabout is fair play. Time for him to get some competition, it's been too long since Will was around. I bet they have a little fight over the newspaper article, or someone talks about the article in a way that makes Beckett realise "she has no life". And she'll go on a date, and Castle will be upset, and thus we'll have progress in the relationship, because we'll get to know that he cares, without going to fast. It's a set up for a lot of fun, from what we've read about this episode.

Clip 2 – I'm just amazed at the level of writing and acting, even just for one simple fun scene like this.

The subtleties in Stana's expressions conveying the embarassment of asking for help getting a date.
And suddenly a glimpse of the passion hidden beneath her usually collected surface, bursting out in "loud". We've seen Beckett being passionate when it comes to solving murder cases, like when she get up close with Castle putting together stories, but this! – Castle would've had a Nikki Heat moment had he witnessed that. And she manages to get from embarrased to passionate so naturally.
Then getting over her embarrasment, she gets a little giddy, smiling with appreciation of nice looking male models. Has me laughing every time (and that's not few).
Writing and acting come together in a perfect mix, creating pearls out of a simple exchange of a phone number.

The only thing I don't really get is Lannie suggesting her a date without even consider teasing her about Castle, I mean, she obvioulsy know that there's something in the air, why not try to push it a little? =P

Maybe Lanie is purposely setting KB up with someone she won't like…

Lanie probably already knows a date with Castle is out of the question after that newspaper article and it's aftermath. She's been thinking about setting Beckett up with this guy since before Castle came along, he's a friend of hers, so probably a great guy. And Lanie is more pro Beckett, than pro Beckett-Castle, so whatever Beckett wants… I think you're right, GhostWriter, Beckett will probably have a good time, but unconsciously start comparing, and miss the quick wit and sharp mind of Castle.

YAAAAY they finally posted the clips. this episode will be so much fun. Stana's acting in the second clip is amazing. and Castle being jealous is so funny "you're smiling!" . i'm in love with this show

I'm interested to see how this will all play out. This is kind of the thing for me, you all know I want them together, I won't go in to why/how/etc… yet again, but with last week's episode plus this, I kind of think they've hit a point where they will be walking a very fine line between needing to propell it forward in some way. Not as a full fledged couple or bed buddies, mind you, but back and forth does kind of come to a head in a reasonable amount of time before it is just frustrating. And not in the good way.
Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to this episode and I think this will be very fun. I'm just kind of pondering the rest of the season and how it may play out. And yes, I'm hoping for a kiss (nothing more) in the S2 finale. Even I am a hopeless romantic. Sometimes.

I am weak. I watched two more clips. Then I read the description on the 4th. :)

So my earlier idea appears to be wrong, but, I'm going to guess that after their two "dates" fall apart, Beckett discovers that her time with Castle is way more fun than any other date she's been on. If it were to end on a kiss, I would squee, but it's way too early for that.
