Interesting to hear what Donna the journalist made of Castle's behaviour and what some of the things Castle actually said about Beckett were -" Beckett said the funniest this… she's the best that.. last year all you did was talk about yourself" – WOW!!!!

Did you guys notice that when Castle walks into the restaurant he brushes past a man and says excuse me on his way to saying hello to his friend frankie who got him a table? I didn't notice this first time around, but it is Beckett's date!! and.. she is standing right infront of him you can just make out the sleeve of her dress- which means, Castle walked straight past Beckett and didn't even recognise her! ha haaa!!! About the restaurant, I don't think Castle thought she was going to be there.. he thought she wouldn't be able to get in… ( Castle is still a tad arrogant!! thus why he enjoys her abuse of power! haa!!)

I liked how when Castle takes Beckett's phone off her to talk to Esposito when it is on speaker phone – Castle starts a little lesson on pythons.. and Beckett is looking at him like he is just brilliant because he knows this stuff for a second there.. awh!!![Image Can Not Be Found]

I love the smile they give each other as Beckett says ' We'll meet you at the store'.. this is assuming alot as Castle did still have his date there.. but.. haaa she assumes he will come.. and ' what should we tell them' – when they go to meet their dates again- love that she knows he will come too.. she didn't even stop to think about it..

Can I just say.. Beckett with her gun out in that dress.. La Femme Nikita!! Look out!! that is totally Nicki Heat!!! I can't wait to see what Castle does with all this in his second book!!!

I loved the spider on the shoulder- I swear I was laughing so hard when I took the screen capture of Castle.. and I just love how Beckett handles it – she is overjoyed.. haaaa!!! I think this is a bit of payback on her part for the whole article thing!!! she looks very satisfied with the spider being on his shoulder terrifying him! haaaa… ( Alexis, you sure you want this woman to look after your dad when your gone? ha haaa.. she's perfect for him!!)

About the ending.. when she says ' Don't!' she does that to him at another point in the episode, when the girl they are interviewing blows the whistle on the article and Castle goes to explain and Beckett just says ' Don't!' – ' show me' .. interesting she does it at the end as well.. which makes me think it is about the article at the end too…

I find it sweet that Castle did know what kind of girl Beckett was, and that this wasn't the restaurant for her – the portions were too small… ha haaa..

Also, I liked how in the Tag, Beckett said she felt like going home and drawing a hot bath- ( remember she told Lainie that she goes home after work and it is quiet and she doesn't want quiet? ) well.. then Castle suggests they go eat something at a burger place – and she is up for it!! I thought this was a nice touch…. forget the bath and forget quiet.. she's going out to dinner with Castle!

I guess this may be the start of the ' we are dating but we aren't going to call it dating phase' !! I would say this is a date, but I don't think either of them would call it one! know what I mean?

You guys notice that during the whole double date at either end of the room – Castle is eating his meal lots!! pretty much everytime he says something he then puts food in his mouth.. and then he says at the end of the episode he hadn't eaten much? hmmm I think that was to get Beckett to go out to dinner with him!

Castle's reaction to Kate coming to dinner with him was quite subdued don't you think? I think he sees that if he had commented or anything she would have freaked and pulled out! I loved that she was twirling her hair.. you think Castle noticed? I can't see that he did..

I have to say though, after last week's heartbreak for Kate, that it is wonderful to see the episode end with Castle and Beckett arm in arm- walking down the very same corridor that only last week, Kate had shot dead her mother's killer to save Castle's life.. Kind of nice to see her happy, and to see them together!!

I am looking forward to hearing every one's thoughts.. think I need to watch this at least two more times!!

When Beckett was about to look in the newspaper to see who won the game, do you think she was talking about some baseball game? A bit of a foreshadowing here? :D

Just like everyone else, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I was cracking up laughing for probably at good 95% of time because of all the hilarious scenes. Esposito was awesome in this episode and loved his line about the snakes being on the plane (of course, there had to be something referencing Snakes on a Plane). Also, I love how Beckett found out about the article. I bet Castle didn't think that woman would be mentioning it. Priceless. There were so many great scenes in the episode and everyone else has pretty much said it all. The last scene is by far my favorite with the arm-in-arm holding and the twirling of the hair. Also, isn't it nice of Castle to carry Beckett's dress for her?

i HAD THE EXACT THOUGHT. hahaha! i was like 'wha—? is he–OH. He was just taking her dress.' LOL.

What can I say? These two are absolutely sizzling! Kate was so beautiful, and Castle was beyond words in that suit. he really shines up nicely. I do believe they have moved on to the next stage of their relationship. The offering and accepting of his arm at the end was the leap they needed to take.

The whole episode was perfect, so much going on, everyone getting good lines and punches. The story was crazy enough to be perfect to set the tone of the whole thing – fun, fresh, colourful. I need to see it again WITHOUT my husband so I can shout out loud! I know I always miss some good stuff the first time around.

I think Beckett figured he was going to give her some semi-inappropriate comment about her in a bath. I saw her "don't, just don't" as being a… "Castle, we're having a nice moment here, please don't ruin it by being a jack-ass."

Whoever's remark above to La Femme Nikita was right on. The dress, the legs, the moves – all that's missing is the blond hair.

Beckett zips around in high heels all the time – and if you look, has them on and still manages to run down the paper delivery guy at the newspaper print shop.

[Aside - if Stana is 5'9" tall and has on 3"- 4" heels most of the time, why does Nathan still tower over her when his official bio says he's just over 6'1"?]

i do like the recycling of scenes from previous shows – usually with a twist. Very green of the writers. Also a neat way to show evolution of the relationship. For example – compare Beckett's reaction to Castle trying to listen in to her call in Hedge Fund Homeboys in S1 to the two scenes here – first with her cozying up to Castle when he's talking to the newspaper circulation office and second on the speakerphone with the boys at the precinct.

I agree with you IMW. I just don't want them to force it on us too quickly. I'm really enjoying the buildup and watching each of them slowly develop and realize their attraction. Yes, I know Castle was very blunt about his attraction from the beginning but it was in a more juvenile and "one night stand" kind of way. Now Castle is "maturing" in his pursuit of Beckett and her view of him is changing so she can see the possibility of a relationship with him. I'm loving watching them figure it out slowly much more than I would if they jumped into bed together in the next episode.

Kona Gallager feels much like several of us "regulars" about the C/B relationship.If they don't get physical soon i'm going to think somethings wrong.By physical,I mean a really meaningful hug kiss combo with heat and passion of a purely sexual nature.No brother sister stuff for these two.No they don't have to actually do the deed on an episode but the implication must be there in my humble opinion.They are beautiful together and so obviously in loooooove as Kona says,it's only a natural progression at this point.

I feel we are headed in that direction,just a little slower than I would like.This episode was definitely a step in the right direction.At long last love has been established.No problen Houston.
