Moby Dick:

Kona Gallager feels much like several of us "regulars" about the C/B relationship. If they don't get physical soon i'm going to think somethings wrong.By physical,I mean a really meaningful hug kiss combo with heat and passion of a purely sexual nature. No brother sister stuff for these two.No they don't have to actually do the deed on an episode but the implication must be there in my humble opinion. They are beautiful together and so obviously in loooooove as Kona says,it's only a natural progression at this point.

Why are you stating someone's opinion for them?

And as far as wanting them to hit the sack (because let's face it, that is what you're asking for), maybe you should look to another show for that. You can always come back to Castle once they start having sex. Right now the writer's are building the characters still. I appreciate the fact that the writer's are slowly building to their relationship. Last night's episode was a huge step forward and I couldn't have ask for more at this point. Actually, I was pleasantly shocked that she twirled her hair at the end. That was beyond big, and a complete tell.

The only thing bad about last night were the clothes Seamus was wearing.

Becklers do it with the beckle on.

Don't have time to catch up now, but I love how Alexis is all excited about Beckett & Castle being romantically linked, and then her disappointment when he goes out with #3.

MomInIllinois, I noticed that Castle was still holding her purse too. And like Van said, she is his work wife so I guess holding the purse comes with the territory. Smile

I also want to add that I loved Alexis's reaction when Martha was reading the article at the beginning of the episode. Love

Well, it seems to me that the best relationships–the ones that last–are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is…suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with. ~Dana Scully

Moby Dick said "they don't get physical soon i'm going to think somethings wrong.By physical,I mean a really meaningful hug kiss combo with heat and passion of a purely sexual nature. No brother sister stuff for these two." vs. Sarah's "I appreciate the fact that the writer's are slowly building to their relationship."

No reason there can't be both. I hate to take everyone back to the dark ages – but i ran across the old Remington Steele show recently – and there was lots of heat in that show for several years before they eventually crossed the finish line – and that dates back to the 80s before everyone (outside the daytime soaps) were bed hopping on a regular basis. She wanted him, he wanted her – and it showed – but she didn't trust him (or herself). Sound familiar? Also two very pretty people where she was the professional (in very high heels) and he the amateur.

Next logical step in this tortured process – the accidental on purpose kiss – perhaps to 'hide' from a bad guy they are following – that turns into a little more than either expect and sends them both back to their respective corners shaken AND stirred. In one of these forums someone was complaining about the two steps forward, one and a half steps back progress of these two. But isn't that real life for – let's face it – two essentially very damaged adults? They are both afraid of commitment/being hurt – they just find different ways to hide it. Beckett is all business. Castle is all play. Or at least that's what they were at the start. She's learning to play (have fun) and trust him; while he (re)learns what it means to grow up.

Just let it ride people and enjoy the scenery on the way. The writers have done a fine job so far and i'm sure they will continue to do so in the future. The only risk i see is that the show gets axed before we're all full. And should that happen, last night's episode should give those of us with any imagination enough to use to write whatever 'happily ever after' scenario we want. I had a fine time last night while falling asleep playing out the conversation between the two at Remy's over burgers and shakes. [Perfect first date food?]

I haven't actually laughed out right while watching a TV show in a long while. And last night's episode had me in hysterics.

Adding my two scents to the will they won't they conversation:
For me, just because they aren't getting "physical" in any way shape or form (hugging, touching, kissing, "it") makes no difference. The fact is that their relationship is slowly changing, but the evidence of this is in the subtle nuances of the writing and the acting. As of late there have been many moments where we see the tides slowly beginning to turn (A Rose for Ever After, anyone?) But as for "The Third Man": there obvious jealousy on both sides. First, there was Beckett's little look at the newsclipping of "Bachelorette Numero Tres" and her immediate going to Lanie to set her up on a date. If there wasn't the smallest of fires beginning neither of those small moments would have happened. And then there was Castle's reservations about Beckett getting a date both at the printing press as well as when Beckett almost canceled. And finally, the piece de resistance: their linking arms at the end of the episode and Beckett's hair flip.

Let's be honest, I think we all know that Beckett and Castle will get together eventually. But for me, the fun is in the fact that finally–finally—we have a television show who is developing a relationship in real time. It is the most believable relationship for me on television that I've seen in a long time. Because, for once, a show isn't playing into the Hollywood romance, love at first sight, married by episode two stereotype that we see all the time.

I'm very much enjoying the ride.

If there was one thing I could change about last night's episode it would have been a brief mention of the advancement of JoHanna Beckett's murderer. "Sucker Punch" was so incredibly intense and there was such a big reveal. But in this episode everything was back to all the fun, which is understandable as that's how a procedural works–new murder, new case, new episode. Though if one wanted to argue I suppose the impact of this episode is that Beckett and Castle are just the slightest bit closer.

No matter, I LOVED last night's episode. And I cannot wait for another two weeks for the new one. This show makes me smile in my heart. And now I'm done rambling.

Certainly was a fun ride last night. I loved the banter between Ryan, Espo and Castle…it works so well AND is well done. They SO have his number(and Kate's I suspect too) and terrific that its being handled in such an adult manner. I do think there is a shift in Castle and what face he wants to show Kate. Kate going down to Lanie-loved that. I know Lanie saw through Kate, I mean who couldn't LOL, but nice that she had the foresight to just go along with Kate's request, likely personally knowing it would be a crash and burn situation(dating the fireman dude). I get the whole whats good for the gander is good for the goose and didn't expect Kate's character to go that way but it proved to be quite funny at the restaurant.
I know the final scene at the end, it was just perfect that Castle reached out, tugged on the hanger and almost 'reeled' Kate in. What was best is that she let it happen and didn't fight it. It was a toe curler moment Love
Oh interesting case….using snakes to smuggle diamonds into the country. Man where do the writers come up with ideas!

I hate being on the West Coast. By the time I'm here everyone has already posted what I loved.

So much love for this show. It's such a high watching them build this relatioship without gimmicks. The whole cast and crew cannot get enough credit imo.

I didn't see anyone mention this yet but I think Esposito had one of the best lines last night. I love the little shout outs they give in every episode.

Castle what do you care about a mother freaking snake on a mother freaking plane? Bounce

Dj, I cracked up to with this one: Loved the girly scream from Castle when he found the body in the fridge. ROFL

I do like how they had a serious episode last week and it was great and then followup with with this one. It made me laugh so much it just took me by surprise. That is why this is one of the best shows on the air for a fan like me.

Never get tired of seeing Beckett act like Nikki Heat. Love

Hooray for Season 3!

I concure with almost everyone here and say, "AWESOME SHOW!"

One of my favorite lines/scenes was when Castle was watching Beckett talking on the phone with 'Brad' and she curled a bit of her hair with her finger.

His shock and indignant cry of, "Did she just twirl her hair!" had me rolling on the floor. So much great stuff in this one show, that even watching twice last night wasn't enough. Also kuddos to the writers for making him have a reaction at her doing it so we would notice it at the end of the show.

Foreshadow much! Bounce

Also the puppies, oh man the puppies! The look on Castle's face while the boys told him about Beckett's date-priceless. I absolutely wanted to give Esposito a huge hug this episode, he is my kind of ebil!Love

Yes, Ryan and Esposito have both Castle and Beckett's number. Hanging around them all the time, it is apparent they can see it as clearly as we do. God knows it would be pretty difficult to miss.

"My partner is crazy and may start firing at any moment." – Castle speaking in Chinese about Beckett

Beckett: (about Natalie Rhodes) She took my coffee, Castle!

Beckett: Alakazam, jackass.

Esposito: "Listen to me. You're too late. The cops already know all about…me and your mom."

Beckett: "I put a lot of people in this place. Some of them want to kill me, others never been treated so fairly in their lives – so they form an attachment to me. It’s like I’m their favorite schoolteacher. Some of those people might visit you while you’re in here, like the ghosts that visit Scrooge. And after some time with them, you might find yourself a changed man. So I will be back here, week after week, to ask you who hired you, until that miracle occurs."

I couldn't agree with this more. I read a quote early this week–can't remember who it was by or where I saw it–but it went something like… a great book is the one where you feel a little sad when you get to the end… and while there are those who would argue that putting Castle & Beckett together wouldn't be the end of this series, I just feel like I'm enjoying the ride right now so much that I don't want them to rush it. I want to continue to savour their verbal foreplay for as long as is logically possible…

Although, ack… 2 weeks is going to be forever…

No, it doesn't seem to have been noted before by all us rabid types. Yeah, i just noticed that one on second viewing. Not only were the boys not shocked, they didn't react at all. But then, neither did Castle and Beckett when Ryan commented about them finishing each other's sentences – and since everyone was on a speakerphone, that remark would have been clearly audible to C&B.

i love that nothing warrants a reaction anymore. they're not shocked at all by them being at the same place while claiming to have "dates." and they're not even trying to deny that they're finishing each other's sentences in a relationship-y way that was implied.

So… a few people have already mentioned their use of foreshadowing in this episode such as Beckett wanting to know about how a game went, and hair twirling. In light of all that, I was wondering if the biggest foreshadowing in that episode might have been the blurb in the article regarding Castle's status as a bachelor next year. Could it be? Did anyone else think of it that way? I mean, aside from the wishful thinking we all seem to share? Could it be they also moved him down to #9 because he's "rumored to be romantically involved" with Beckett and it looks more likely that he won't be a bachelor for long?

As for my stance on the whole debate of when should they get together, right now, I'm with those who are just enjoying the ride. I don't really see the need for them to rush it, especially if we want this to be a long-term serious relationship. Oh, and please once they get together, I truly hope they don't do the whole Ross/Rachel thing. It's exactly why I would rather see them stretch out the getting-to-know-you part.

Why do we have to wait two weeks for the new one? Although I'm kind of glad they're showing "The Double Down"… I haven't seen it in awhile… :)

Another winner of an episode Love

You've mentioned the bachelors' names, note also bachelorette #5 is Terr… probably writer Terri Miller.

So we don't get to see their "date" at Remy's… that's ok, because some of you will write excellent fan fictions about it! And about the two left at the restaurant. That must have been a fun casting – how would you like to play a person that is totally ignored on a date?

I wish I knew how to quit you.

I liked this episode Esposito and Ryan ragging on castle was funny. I thought it was nice to see the girly side of Beckett. That guy Nicky or Mickey looks so familar but I don't know why anyway back to the episode my fave part has to be when castle and Beckett were walking to the elevator and they were linked arm in arm. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I really liked the castle/Alexis scene when he was geting ready for his date.
