hello! yeah that interview of Stana's has shed some light on how things will be going in the near future at least.. interesting!!

I see what you mean about not wanting to see them dating others.. Yeah it does sound like this neighbour could be it – good detective work ;)

I want our favourite couple to get together in a timely way… when I hear of them dating others I freak out that uh oh… it will be a long road before they get together ( but this is not necessarily true!!) ..

When I calm down about it – I can see that they are at a stage where they are still getting to know each other.. and there is room for them to date others – and it could be fun to see how the writers do it… I can very easily see Castle dating someone- maybe even someone who is lovely- but.. without realising it, he has already given his heart to beckett.. I can see him being with the lady and being called away to murders at a moment's notice.. and her at first being understanding- but then meeting Beckett and being less understanding ;) and.. hearing him talk about the case.. and talk about Beckett..

A girlfriend for Castle's could be very 'useful' plot wise – to hold a mirror up to Castle- and get him to move forward.. Why, I can just see her dumping him – and telling him straight that Beckett is the one he is really in a relationship with.. she is the one whose call he always takes..and who he has time for.. you know what I mean????

As for Beckett getting some action.. I would love to see her with a great guy other than castle.. who is actually a possibility for her – unlike fbi guy and fireman guy- someone who would shake up Castle and maybe force him to Act on his feelings for her!!!

There is also the old cliche of someone dating someone who is just like the person they are secretly really attracted to- only to find something is 'missing'.. ie Beckett dates a fun intelligent guy who is alot like Castle- but.. the 'thing' just isnt' there!!

I understand the whole idea of having the conflicts come from within – I think the presence of someone else they are dating can be a means to demonstrating those internal conflicts – rather than a conflict in and of itself..

Now I have heard there will be others they are dating, I have calmed down.. toughened up a bit ;) and am ready to go into the trenches! ha haaaa.. don't worry guys.. we can suffer through it together!! :) – just so long as they are true to the characters and don't push it with us! ha haaaa..

It sounds like (IMO!!) Castle and Beckett will continue to grow together – and become a bit like Harry and Sally in 'when harry met sally' – remember them? they knew each other so well, and were best friends.. and when Harry dated a young girl who had a business selling desserts – sally says ' But harry doesn't even like dessert!' – I can totally see them being like that.. and boy harry and sally loved loved loved to bicker!!

I mentioned somewhere the idea of starting a thread where we can discuss other tv shows, movies or couples or whatever that feed into our Castle obsession – I don't think I saw anyone reply to that idea-??? and I wouldn't know what to call it and don't want to overstep and start a thread I shouldn't. I'm still feeling newish here..
