A safeword is used in the S&M/B&D sexual play arena for  when what's going on is over the top of your threshold. Typically involves more pain than you can take and you use a safeword   (such as Castles,APPLES) to  let the person know you are uncomfortable with whats taking place and want to stop now…………………or so i've been told.

O.M.G. These clips are so ABSOLUTELY brilliant. I love the whole 'my boyfriend Ricky'-thing :D Also the way she looks at him when she says: "I've been dying to watch him squirm."

I would never think I'd say this, but I can't wait for this weekend to be over. I want to watch so badly…

Beckett does seem to know a lot about this btw:

Castle: "This place looks like a law-firm"
Beckett: "What did you think it was going to be, torture wheels and women in corsets?"
Castle: "Well, yeah"
Beckett (without hesitation): "That's in the back"       (Oh and that look on her and Castle's face when she says that )

Oh my gosh how hilarious!!! Beckett is so funny in this! I'm going to love it. Let's just hope I didn't ruin the episode for myself by watching all of these.

I like the part after Beckett sets up the appointment and she says something like "You're not afraid of a little role play, are you Castle?" And the she leave. And then he says "You better run."
They have totally switched roles in this episode, it seems.
I just ned to get through the weekend and then it's Monday.

It's so much fun when she turns the tables on him. She's had a lot of well placed digs but not this many in one epiosde before.

The good thing about sneak peeks is that they've never ruined the episode for me. It's always been a little taste of what's to come. I think 2.15 was the only exception where the best parts were in the sneak peeks actually.

I certainly can't wait to see what else she has lined up.

Does anyone think this is out of character for Kate?  Don't get me wrong, I love it.  Just wondering.  I am like Castle saying about Lanie: "Does she know we can hear her?"  This seems totally opposite of how her character was season 1 and even up to this episode.  Maybe the promos are making it look more risque than it really is.[/quote]

Hmmm. I don't think it's out of character for Kate because I think now, she's mroe comfortable with castle. In Season 1 she's totally guarded and annoyed with him shadowing her. And I do think Castle brings out the fun side to her.

Plus, she loves to tease Castle.

Yes,I too think Beckett has kicked it up a notch and it's about time that she did. It's the next step in the evolution of the relationship. Castle looks  absolutely mortified in most scenes. lmao at his expressions. Beckett is scaring him to death. This is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

It certainly is different for Beckett to tease this much, even compared to earlier in season 2.  But I think Sucker Punch was a big turning point for her relationship with Castle in terms of finally admitting that he may annoy her at times, but she wants him around.  With that out of the way, she has seemed more open to Castle…accepting to have burgers with him, openly initiating flirting with him in Suicide Squeeze with the swimsuit comments.  She's having more fun with him, and the circumstances surrounding the crime in this next episode provide perfect fodder for her to have the upper hand since she can shock Castle by being evasive and put him in uncomfortable positions. 

I'm sure most of what she's teasing about comes from on-the-job knowledge, but who knows?  It's interesting to think how much we still don't know about Beckett's character.  In interviews, Stana seems to make mention of the fact that Beckett had to rein in a more wild side for the sake of the job after her mom's death.  But Castle…and cases like this one…probably give her a little more freedom to let that out.

I love watching Castle and Beckett take turns pushing the envelope and getting close to "the line" without crossing it.

I have to wonder, with all the juicy tidbits in the preview clips from this episode, whether at the end of the episode Castle might turn the tables on Beckett–kind of like she did to him in Vampire Weekend.  Could be fun, but whether or not that happens, it's looking to be a very entertaining episode.

Ooh, that would be very good. I really liked Vampire Weekend, and it would be great to have sort of a twist like that in this episode. I agree though, whatever is going to happen, it's going to be good…
