Really nice commentary on the abc site for this episode.  Although, as usual, it was painful and slow to watch with the sound going in and out on the mandatory ads and the picture not matching the sound.  I think Kate Sargeant did an amazing job with this episode…can't believe it was her first.  You can tell from the commentary that she really knows the characters, and it was great to see the "role reversal" thread playing in so many ways through the episode.  The dialogue in this one was incredibly witty, and it had so many nice tie-ins to previous episodes.

I think it would have gotten much higher ratings had it been promoted more (abc has got to do this more during shows with the best 18-49 demos) and not followed a long hiatus.  I saw many comments on different sites today that indicated some fans did not know last night was a new episode.  Hopefully they catch it online or on DVR.

Kudos to Kate Sargeant on this stellar episode!

There's a couple comments from her commentary that have to make it to deleted scenes or at least bloopers. Especially this scene.

That hand gesture was something Nathan did as a joke during rehearsal and Stana laughed so hard that he did it once, just for fun, with the cameras rolling.

Also learned that this was the episode that Kevin Costner visited the set.

I really, really want to watch the commentary for this episode but evertime I try a little pop-up came up saying 'Error' everytime :(. Plus I live in Canada so that's another reason why I probably can't view it. But that one should defineitly make it onto bloopers.

I live in Canada too, so I can't watch shows on ABC. I hope that part makes the bloopers! It would also be cool if her commentary was on the season two DVD special features. Or if they did another commentary with her, Stana, Nathan, Jon, and Seamus – now that'd be funny! I can only imagine the stories they have while filming this episode.

Jordan: He cares about you, Kate. You may not see it. You may not be ready to. But he does.

Kate: Of course he makes you feel alive but eventually you know he's just going to let you down. So, why risk it?

If you go to Castle's page on ABC.com there's a tab along the top with 'Episodes' and such and it says Commentary. Then you scroll down and click one of the two episode commentary available.

The scene where they're talking to a fake cop, he does a 'choking' gesture. I'm guessing that was it anyway since that little piece of commentary was shown when that scene popped up.

This is what Kate's latest tweet says:

Going back to work on CASTLE tomorrow. Writers' Prep begins! How is our hiatus already over?

She will be back! Yay! I *loved* her Castle episode! Crazy

OK Castle, but it's accompany and observe, and not participate and annoy, got it?

Just curious: how much time is given to writers to develop an episode? And then you multiply that with the number of episodes to a season… It must be crazy yes? Crazy2

IS IT MONDAY YET?!?
