OfflineObviously Chat was over-whelmed for awhile but we can keep talking about it here too.
I have never watched a tv show in this way before…
on the edge of my seat, leaning in…needing to catch every single second. And how fast the segments seemed to go!
Ratcheting up the tension in almost Hitchcockian way.
Most interesting moment – Beckett says to FBI woman – "You're a Mom?" as if she herself had decided she never could be, due to her job.
Even though we know the explosion has not wiped out Kate, it was still VERY shocking and leaves us hoping for a brilliant explanation for her survival.
Well done Castle crew.
Very well done.

OfflineI agree! Kate probably did think she would never have time to have a family of her own because of her job. But now that she sees that even this hard-core FBI agent has been able to balance her career with her family, she starts thinking, "I could do that, too." Although another aspect to the question of whether to have a family of her own could also be that her job is dangerous, and if anything ever happened to her, she wouldn't want to leave her child the way that her mother "left" her. But then again, Jordan Shaw's job is dangerous too, but that didn't stop her from having a family. Kate is realizing that life is full of risks no matter who you are. Ahhh….another layer of the Beckett Onion possibly being peeled, and Beckett opening up and learning more about herself and what her future could be. I'm excited to see where this story is headed, but of course I want it to be paced in order to give us many more "chapters" (i.e. seasons)
both heart-stopping and heart-warming.

I feel the same way. I knew the explosion was going to happen at the end, but it still got to me. That shows how great the episode was to make me feel that way.
All I have to say right now is: AWESOME! Can't wait for part 2. Going to have to watch it again and then give more insights.

OfflineLoved it (of course)! [Image Can Not Be Found]
- Castle said his bday's coming up. Really? Nathan's too.
- Of course Castle would make "kinki" out of the letters on the bullets. I guess now we know why Castle chose that exact name for his detective. LOL
- I thought it was nice of Beckett telling Castle there's no need to feel guilty, and vice versa later on when he even made her smile (again! like in 2x13).
- Did I hear right that one of Shaw's suspects drove a "yugo"? If so – I'm almost certain that Stana gave them info about the car – yugos were made in Serbia (which was once a state of Yugoslavia where Stana's parents are originally from). So cool, haha!
- LOL@ "spoiler alert"
- Captain America
- Martha watching Susan's movie The Incredible Hulk
- Beckett's apartment number was 203; it was a beautiful apartment, such a shame it's gone now. :/
- Lanie saying they're cute *agree*
- at first I thought Castle didn't scream "Kate" in the phone as shown in the promo, but he actually did, it's just less audible.
And so many more things to like. Great work done by the cast&crew!

OfflineThat was an insanely awesome episode. I knew the general gist of it, but it still had me riveted to my seat. The mix of mystery and character interaction is perfect. I love that Beckett doesn't go rogue when the FBI comes and takes the case away from her. I love that Shaw, for all her bravado, is not insensitive Beckett's situation.
Great line: "I'm just profiling him, not agreeing with him."
Really top notch and worth all the publicity that abc has cranked up for it. Can't wait for part 2.

OfflineWhere to start? Loved the snide remarks and breakfast jokes in the morning-after scene with Ryan and Esposito in Kate's apartment.
Kate seemed a bit overwhelmed and jealous of Castle and Shaw's obvious connection – Kate just kind of stood back to watch
The car scene was great "he touches things" "he observes me"
Castle was like a kid in a candy shop with the FBI high tech gear and smart boards.
Loved how Kate almost got him when he appeared at her door with wine bottle.
Can't wait for next week
BTW – is it actually possible to scratch letters on the bullets, or were they the shell casings? I thought they would be unreadable after being fired. Just wondered

*Lanie saying Halle Berry should portray her on the film = FTW.
*Castle: Angelina? No! Kate Beckett…kate Beckensale = K Becks

*Beckett's reaction as the guy start to read about 'Chapter11'..& her saying 'It's Fiction' =))
*Lanie: So cute the way you two do that.
i've afraid i might outline the whole episode if i name all the scenes i loved. haha. so i shall stop.

Spinja……….I hurried to work this morning just so that I could post OMG repeatedly. Thank you for starting a topic that so exquisitlely describes last nights episode. OMG……OMG…..OMG!!!!! I loved it beginning to end. Loved Martha and Alexis' dilemma! Loved Castle showing up to watch over his baby all night! Loved the morning after with Espisito (sp?) and Ryan! Loved the inquiries by the FBI agent! I especially loved that Kate wore her emotions on her shoulders. There were no bones about it…she was jealous and she let Castle know it. My favorite, favorite, favorite scene was at the carousel when Castle tried to go after the FBI agent. Beckett stopped him in his tracks with one hand as if to say, 'keep your a– right here because you belong to me." LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!
Of course we know Beckett's okay but it was nice to see the devastation on Castle's face thinking that she is gone. I'm thinking either she stayed at her dad's place or the serial killer kidnapped her before the explosion or the FBI placed her in protective custody. Either way can't wait to see what happens.

OfflineHere's my OMG moment. I'm on the edge of my seat watching, like everyone else. During the commercial break at 10:30, my daughter called from work to say that she had gotten sick and could we please pick her up. No greater love for a daughter than to miss even a small part of this episode that I had been counting down the hours to.(Yes, I too suffer from OCD.) Luckily, she works about 1/4 mile away, but by the time we got to our car, drove over, picked her upa nd drove back, I had missed that entire section. I missed the wine scene. By the time the show was over, I was so keyed up, I didn't go to sleep until almost 2 am. Then, that last scene kept playing in my head, keeping me awake most of the night. (Well that and my daughter kept getting up and refusing all help. Would you believe her name is Kate?)
I did watch the episode already this am and am downloading it on iTunes as I write. So I am calmer now, and hope to sleep well tonight. And my Kate is finally sleeping, so hopefully, she is on the mend.

OfflineWhen I sat down to watch last night's episode, for a split second I wondered if I was too excited… that I'd already over-hyped it in my mind and that nothing could possibly live up to my expectations… and yet still, I was simply blown away… err, no pun intended. Even having seen the ending on the promos, it was still exciting and shocking… I found that I just had to sit there for a moment with my jaw on the floor…
But better than simply blowing things up, this was a tour-de-force… it was all the best elements of the show… a smart case, fantastic banter, great performances by everyone–regular cast and guest stars… simply a laundry list of awesome from start to finish.
Is it Monday yet?
