hiya! wow.. lots of discussion.. the mistresses and mayhem ep is being totally overshadowed!!!

Heck I don't know what to 'spoiler' … I'll just do it all..

I have to say.. I was really surprised that Rick Castle revealed so much about who his real life inspiration was for the Heatwave novel- and the character Nikki Heat.

I mean.. he gives her initials in the dedication.. and the number of the precinct she works at.. she is a cop.. a homicide cop… how many people fit that description in manhattan? errrr.. probably 1! ( and of course she shows up at the book launch looking all sexy and gets her photo taken – ummmm.. it is begging for a crazed fan to fixate on her!!)

It was far too easy from the start to find who is the source of inspiration for Nikki Heat.. and oops… we know the newspaper names her in the bachelor's list too don't we…

If I were Kate- I would think the idea of someone following me around is freaky!! – taking notes, learning me- and possibly revealing private things about myself and my background or whatever – on top of being a woman cop in a workplace where it is complicated being a gorgeous young woman who is really good at what she does? I wouldn't have wanted anyone to know I was the inspiration.. Shock

I'm just sayin… revealing his inspiration seems about to come and bite them all in the butt!!

You think the crazed fan read about Beckett and Castle being linked romantically in the paper and this escalated his/her violence?? could be linked..

Oh and when Beckett is needing new digs – I can see her staying at Lainie's.. with her turning down Castle's offer.. just my guess is all not basing it on anything!

-why kidnap Dana Delany's character? why doesn't the serial killer just kill her?? hmmm….

I gotta get me a copy of heatwave! I am thinking there will be many references to it in this ep.. and I am anticipating the release of the second book – and the storm ( ;) ) that will create in the castle/beckett relationship… whooo how will this crazed fan affect the future of the second book? You would imagine they would be asking themselves if it is wise to continue to do these books on the Nikki Heat character??? you think?? I would certainly be wondering! but hey.. I know not everyone thinks like me ;)

[spoiler]What if the stalking and explosion is either done or set up by the person who killed Beckett's mother? She's already found Coonan, and even though he's dead, the person who arranged Johanna's murder might fear Beckett will track him down.

I could see Dana Delany's character being abducted if they've set a trap for the stalker/killer where she's filling in as Beckett? The spoiler wasn't clear what episode the abduction would take place in. That would be one more way to torment Beckett though.

I haven't seen an updated character list but surely her dad will make an appearance. If not in 17 then maybe 18?

ABC has been really good about what spoilers they release. Even the promo pics and clips don't ruin the episode. So why did this much info get released? Does something bigger happen? Or did they release more to keep the buzz going during hiatus?

"Wow. REALLY looking forward to this episode, now! Here's my take: First of all–good chance for a kiss here. Everyone thinks Kate is in her apt. at the time the bomb goes off (I like to think she was out at the gym or something). Everyone is looking for her, frantically, through the rubble of her apartment, Castle the most frantic of all. She comes to her apartment and is all "WTF?!" Castle sees her, grabs her and kisses her hard and quick so glad that she's alive.

As for her being pissed–there's no way that Castle or anyone could have forseen this happening from Heat Wave, so I don't think she will blame him at all."

I was thinking of their reunion happening in very much the same way, though, while I'd love to see it, I didn't envision a passionate kiss, but rather a warm hug and kisses on each cheek. Then Martha, Alexis, Montgomery, Ryan, or Esposito show up and they act like nothing happened.

I had to run and check the source when I first saw it posted because I was really surprised they'd release such a bit plot point. Truth is, ABC may well have not approved this info for release, spoilers get leaked in all kinds of ways.

Is anyone else having trouble reading any of the posts on page of this forum? I could yesterday, but when I click on either the arrow icon at the bottom of the page or on the number 6 button, the website comes up but without any posts listed.

What if beckett gets taken, i mean what if he is at the blast, and she gets hit down, or she gets unconcious and the creep takes her. What if Castle has to go with FBI agent and lead, what if he has to tell this to Becketts dad, Becketts dad and him get close. What if he finds her, and castle has to kill the killer, and the two meet together and hug but you feel the tension. And then castle sits in his room and feels together with her, so much that he wants to get completely out of her life. Then a knock comes on the door, and its her fade to back.. What do u think?
