OfflineYet another absolutely BRILLIANT episode!! WOW. I think words just don't quite describe how amazing it was. I've already watched it twice!
And I have to say that one of the best lines…."You have the right to remain silent…so shut the hell up" haha I died laughing. Stana really does get the best lines!
Castle's "I was aiming for his head" was rather funny too.
And I loved that Shaw totally nails it at the end too talking about how Castle cares for Beckett. It was kinda like Lainie's "You may not see it, but I see it" scenario – but more serious and you see the wheels turning more in Kate's head while she only admits that it's 'complicated'..but it's a step forward.
Nice that her clothes weren't ruined..just need the insurance to cover the drycleaning. lol (that was another great line) and of course it was a relief that the watch and necklace were ok.
Yeah, sooooo many things. Too many to touch on. Just a supurb job by the whole cast as always and this season just gets better and better!
(can't wait for next weeks..looks hilarious!)

OfflineLooks like I arrived just in time…
What can I say? Another fantastic part to what has been an epic two-parter. Although this one had the case-twists as before, what made it outstanding was the obvious deepening of the Castle/Beckett relationship. I don't know if it was him pulling her out of her burning apartment or Jordan referring to him as Beckett's "partner", but you could just feel an entirely new level of respect and affection there. Not overblown. Still very much "them"… but when Beckett passes Castle a gun and the pair of them go into that building together… well, I just about lost it, I was so thrilled. Not that I want Castle to turn cop anytime soon, but it's clear that Beckett is now acknowledging him and the value he brings.
And my God, Nathan looked good and was just fabulous in this… as much as I love goofy Castle, every so often you see just a hint of steel in his character that reminds you that he's not some rich-boy patsy… this is a guy worthy of being Beckett's equal.
Can't wait to see where the writers take us next.

OfflineYeah exactly..there was a small shift yet again between them – a new level of depth and trust between them now.
Loved that she gave him the gun too..her only backup and she totally had faith in him.
Ok one thing I was disappointed about..they must've cut the scene with Beckett and Alexis. :( I was so looking forward to that.
Although the whole scene with Beckett at Castles was awesome!! Loved her and Martha's convo – the smiles and laugh – she looked so at home there. She was comfortable.
Ohhhh and Castle's line joking the night before …about Shaw – and Kate grinning then throwing the towel at him. that was freakin cute!
See, there's just so dang much it's hard to take it all in and remember everything.

OfflineWhat can I possibly say about this episode? Oh yes! I thought the whole scene with Castle finding Beckett in the bathtub and then whole 'Get me a towel' when everything was on fire was funny. I loved Castle's facial expression when Beckett told him not to look while he gave her, his coat. I think Stana did an amazing job with the big chase scene and the fighting scene at the end of it. Little disapointed that Beckett didn't have more injuries due to everything around her being burned and in rubble.
Watching the scene where Beckett is making breakfest, Martha walking in and Castle wakeing up and coming in was adorable. I can totally see them as a family, she fit right in with them! I was sad when I noticed they had cut out the Beckett/Alexis chat scene but the kitchen scene was still good.
I thought it was sweet and funny at the same time that Castle looked almost shocked that Beckett was letting him come with her and handed him a gun so he was her back-up, which is understandable since Beckett usually doesn't do that. I was also a little disapointed that our Shaw theories ended up being wrong but her departure won me over, I hope she comes back. Castle giving her, her dad's watch back, all nice and clean I thought it was super cute and then his bat-mobile and Beckett's car being an embarrasment speech was funny. When Castle returned to his apartment in the last scene I was hoping Beckett would be right behinde him, I wonder where she's going to stay now or maybe she'll find an apartment quickly or something… who knows.
Over all I loved this episode and I can't wait till next weeks episode, although I'm sad the whole Special Event 2-parter is over, it was really exciting.

OfflineFantastic ep. tonight! The beginning was perfect, I loved how cute Castle and Beckett were while he was trying not to look at her naked, and he helped her walk. It was nice seeing Castle and Beckett together at his apartment, I wish they would have made that part a little longer…but maybe they'll be more in the future
Although I wonder what happened to the Alexis and Beckett scenes from the promo pics I just saw??
"You have the right to remain silent…so shut the hell up."
"I aimed for his head."
Those made me laugh so much, and also when Beckett was told to wait in the van, by Agent Shaw, with Castle- "Now you know how I feel." I was so happy when Delaney's character, Agent Shaw, pointed out the obvious haha that Castle cares about her and that Nikki Heat is half of Beckett and half of Castle! Amazing job from the cast! Next week looks like a lot of fun!

OfflineWow, just an awesome 2-parter. It wasn't like anything mind-blowing happened between Castle and Beckett, but there was truly a deepening of the relationship between them…it was just so thrilling to watch them together on so many levels. This one was packed with some great stuff. Some of my favs:
-The whole opening scene…Castle breaking down the door, calling Kate over and over…the awkward and funny naked scene…and Beckett asking him if it was killing him to wait so long to tell her how he broke down the door…she knows him SO well.
-An aww moment- Martha consoling Alexis about Beckett with "See? She's ok"
-How Kate just takes the coffee from Castle at the precinct…just assuming it's for her?
-Kate telling Castle if he quotes Jordan she's turning the radio way up, and Castle responding with a cute "Jealous"
-Castle telling Beckett "Now you know what it feels like for me" when she's told to stay in the van…followed by a cool chase through the subway
-The whole empassioned scene with Mongomery and Beckett telling him she doesn't have a home, and Castle insisting to her that she has a home with him "with people who care about you" (I thought that was major)
-Was Castle drinking out of a Richard Castle mug at his house?
-Their conversation at his place…when he asked if she was sorry for letting him follow her and she says "All the other annoying things you do, but not this" and then him complimenting her smarts…but mentioning he was speaking of Shaw…and her throwing a towel at him.
-That whole awesome domestic scene the next morning with Kate cooking, relaxed, smiling, conversational, sharing about her mother, hitting Castle's hand with the spatula. And Castle talking about Martha needing an ice pack and a bloody mary…and then eating eggs with his hands and burning his mouth.
-Kate admitting "Sometimes your silly theories are right" and going with Castle's gut/writer instincts…and then trusting him with a gun (want me to hold it while you tie your shoe?) and the look she gives him when she tells him he's her only back-up
-It's not Heat…it's Beckett"…and the quote Maclane mentioned when she arrested the killer
-Nikki Heat..part you, part Castle (love that)
-"He cares about you Kate. You may not see it , you may not be ready to, but he does" (totally awesome). And then her response about it being complicated…really the first we see of her feelings!
-Castle returning her dad's watch FIXED…and her emotional reaction to it and the look she gives Castle
-Castle embarrased over riding in her car and having criminals in it-ha!
Sorry…can you tell I loved it? Watched it twice already…and many more to come I'm sure.

OfflineSo many things to love about this episode…. One of my favorite parts was when Beckett was chasing Dunn down onto the subway platform and just misses him. That was a really great, tense scene. The scene with Castle telling Beckett that he was embarrassed to be seen in her car had me cracking up. I'd forgotten about there being a scene with Beckett and Alexis, and it didn't even make it in.
I like how they had Shaw leave… and I loved her telling Beckett that Castle cared about her.
I'm definitely going to have to watch this episode again….

I found the "Now you know how I feel" line really interesting… you could play that one for the laugh, but Castle says it with such seriousness and sincerity… like he's saying, "I know you think I just run off because I'm playing games, but I'm just like you. I want to catch the bad guy just as much as you do."
And yea, I really, really loved that line Jordan had about Nikki Heat being part Beckett and part Castle… sometimes I feel like the show plays up the Beckett/Heat connection a bit too much… like Castle just took Beckett, changed her name and plunked her directly into the pages of a book… but Castle has his gifts too–his unique way of tackling these crime scenes–and that's by getting into the whole writer's angle. Beckett couldn't have done it on her own. It took both of them and this two-parter just illustrated so well why these two are such an amazing team.
I've done some of my own writing over the years and I've always felt that the best "ship" is one where you take these two characters who are each great in their own right… then you throw them together and not only is there heat and passion and whatever… but there's this sense that these two are not just great together, but they are greater together… stronger, smarter… just watching them amp up their partnership week after week is amazing in and of itself.

OfflineAmazing, on-the-edge-of-your-seat episode!
As great as this television event was I am not a big fan of the beginning of this episode. Seemed too implausible and unrealistic with the amount of smoke and heat. Wouldn't the floor be too unsafe? I did like Beckett acknowledging Castle for tipping her off and hearing him say "Kate" so many times while he was looking for her was nice. I also still think there should have been some connection between Agent Shaw and the killer. I was expecting her to have tried to catch him before since he called her by her first name when he kidnapped her. I thought it was a little too tidy at the end…for someone who has gotten away with so many crimes already…but I cheered when Castle essentially saved Beckett. What a great team!
As others have mentioned, definitely a deepening of their relationship in this episode. Beckett giving him a chance to explain his theory and not dismissing his hunch. She values his contributions and trusts him to be her back up. I loved Agent Shaw's observations and comments to Kate at the end. My favorite part was putting in words that the killer did face Nikki Heat after all since she is part Beckett and part Castle. Again, a great statement about how they work as a team.

Wynnara, you said that so well. I think it's not just about two people who "fill in" each other's weaknesses, but totally about two people who are each better because they are together…often because they bring out those more hidden sides of each other. Castle makes Beckett more relaxed and lighthearted and creative, and Beckett makes Castle more compassionate and focused. It's been so cool to watch their characters- and in turn their relationship -develop.

Offlinei'm probably gonna repeat most of what's already posted..haha but what the heck
the first scene. FTW. Castle catching Beckett in the bathtub NAKED…
and the whole little banter as Kate keeps telling him not to look
i just repeated that scene over and over again. i also LOVES the fact that Beckett cooks
and i have to say…WOW to all those FBI equipment stuff..i was totally blown away with the scene where they find the guys apartment, tracing the angles and such..AMAZING.
'I was aiming for his head' …one of the BEST lines of the episodes
along with Beckett's 'You have the right to remain silent…so shut the hell up' & the clothes-insurance thing. FTW =))
