Season 2 Episode 218 – Boom (Part 2)

Air Date: Mar 29, 2010

Summary:

In the second part of the story begun in “Tick, Tick, Tick…,” the serial killer remains at large and is taunting Castle, Beckett and Jordan Shaw (guest star Dana Delany) to catch him.  Delany plays Federal Agent Jordan Shaw, an insightful and accomplished Federal Investigator who teams up with Castle and Beckett to hunt down this cunning and elusive serial killer.

Gilmore Girls also had two episodes with titles almost exactly like these two. The first one was "Tick, Tick, Tick, Boom." The next one, where they picked up the story from a different character's perspective of the last scene of the previous one, was titled "Afterboom."

Nonetheless, it still sounds like an exciting episode. Are there any more details released?

Agreed! 100%.  I'm glad things look good for Castle with the network and they think it can stand on it's own, but we have 20 days now before we get to see the conclusion of that two parter.  And for those of us without a job to keep us busy and occupied, that's a lot of freakin' days!  I may have to take up another hobby, lol. 

 

I was just really happy that we would only have to wait 23 hrs between episodes, that we would get resolution very soon and not have to wait all week to see what will happen, that's going to be the longest part, the week after we see that big explosion, because you just know that the explosion is going to be the last scene of the episode and then we'll have to wait and wonder about the outcome.  So much drama!!Crazy2

I guess I'm a minority when it comes to the date change. I don't mind it being March 22nd and 29th, because that means one less repeat in April (I'm basing that on the fact that I'm thinking Castle will end on May 17). Also, I will be even MORE excited for the second part by waiting a week, because I'll want to know what happens so badly. I just don't know if I can wait until March 22nd to see part one.

I agree it will be tough to wait one week for the conclusion, but as Jamz said, it's good for the show in the long run.  It shows that ABC has confidence in the show to stand on its own and knows that it will pull good ratings in it's current time slot.  We just waited a whole month between new episodes everyone and survived.  I, personally, can handle waiting a week, even though I can't wait to see what happens in both episodes.  I REALLY want to see Castle's reaction when the bomb goes off and everyone's reaction when (hopefully) the killer is caught.
