Season 2 Episode 219 – Wrapped Up In Death
Air Date: Mar 29, 2010
Summary:
The investigation into the shocking death of a museum curator,
crushed by a falling gargoyle, takes a bizarre turn when Castle and
Beckett learn that he isn't the first member of a recent archeological
expedition to die. It turns out there was a legend inscribed over the
burial chamber the team unearthed warning that "all who gaze upon the
face of the mummy are doomed." Was the curator just the latest victim
of "The Mummy's Curse"? And if so, what does that mean for Castle, who
snuck a peek at the mummy when no one was looking?

Alexi Hawley wrote "Love Me Dead" and co wrote "A Rose For Everafter" and "Fool Me Once"
Bill Roe was DOP for the pilot and Cinematographer for a bunch of episodes of Castle, this is his first credit for Castle as Director, he also worked on X-Files, Las Vegas and lots more.

Heh, the name reminds me of the JD Robb "In Death" series. The title character has been compared to Beckett many times… or should I say, Beckett has been compared to Eve..

Re the date, it is such an interesting dilemma that ABC has, there are only so many episodes left in the year, yet they need to keep interest going after the big two parter with Dana Delaney and follow up with new episodes to keep the interest and ratings high. However, I would think that they would also want to save some Castle episodes for May sweeps too since it is performing pretty well, especially compared to the rest of ABC's schedule, so how they will balance the remaining 6 episodes after Tick, Tick, Tick, & Boom will be interesting.
And also, looking at IMDB, which I know isn't always an accurate source, it says that Currie Graham (Raising the Bar and NYPD Blue among other things and another Canadian 
) and Navi Rawat (a current regular on Numbers) will be guest stars on this episode. If true, continues Castle's run of great guest stars.

m_hanh, I've been wondering how ABC would play out the rest of the episodes too.
The episode guide has the following:
2.16 – March 8th
2.17 – March 21st
2.18 – March 22nd
2.19 – March 29th
2.20 – April 5th
That leaves 4 episodes to play out til the middle of May if they have it finish out with the rest of the shows. We might be looking at a 2-3 week break after 2.20 maybe?

Not that my opinion will matter to ABC (kudos to them by the way for season 1 repeats on Satudays! I was hoping they'd do that over season 2 re-repeats…), but I hope they don't do anymore extended breaks for the episodes. I'd rather see a couple one week breaks than a 2 or 3 week break. Don't most shows wrap up the 2nd or 3rd week in May? That would mean only a week or two would be without a new episode.

I agree. I don't want another big break either. Most shows end the 3rd week of May.

Currie Graham will be in this episode? Cool!

I guess they could do the following:
April 12th – repeat
April 19th 2.21
April 26th – repeat
May 3rd – 2.22
May 10th – 2.23
May 17th – 2.24
But if they do end up putting Romantically Challenged before it, that adds another layer of complication, because I'm sure they'll want it to have a new episode of Castle following…
