Oh, I'm taking the middle road this week. I remained spoiler-free for Boom and loved it, so I am NOT (I hope…strength!) watching the sneek peeks, but I read your responses to them. If the look between C/B that Jamz mentions is also the one from the photos released from the episode…love it…that photo had such a great smile between them.
Someone posted an interview a while back with Molly in which she talked about
not wanting Kate to get together with Castle until she was out of his house, because she is the one who takes care of him, and she doesn't want another woman on her turf (or something like that). So I could see her playing a scene with an irritated vibe toward Beckett.
I was especially concerned that this episode would not hit that sweet spot for me because the last 2 have been so intense and such a big thing for C/B's relationship…and how can you top yourself episode after episode (although they usually do!)? But I do hope it will be some great classic Castle banter and fun for all the new fans (and old ones!)!
I'm behind on all other shows I watch due to being on these boards and re-watching 217 and 218 all week…does anyone know if they have been promoting 219 a lot this week? Either with a preview or that sexy promo?

Actually, I think this is a very interesting turn of events. Up to this point, Molly has kind of championed Beckett to an extent. But all of a sudden, when Castle and Beckett actually do start getting a bit closer, Molly begins to see Beckett as a "rival" for her Dad's affection. That can definitely add an interesting twist turn to their relationship considering how close Castle is to BOTH his daughter and to Beckett

awww.well if the whole molly-not-liking-beckett-that-much-anymore goes through, it probably won't last long, maybe a one episode thing, two prox. still don't like the idea of it :(( i REALLY like the beckett-molly awesome relationship =))
i mean, come on? beckett's gonna be like..her future step mom, right?

Yeah, hee hee, Beckett COULD BE her future step mom. However, having Alexis be a little "less thankful" for having Beckett around for an episode or two would provide a very interesting dilemma for Castle and Beckett (and likely for Martha as well). And of course, it would provide an opportunity for a few more onion layers slicing off for all of them. Ultimately, however, there's almost no doubt that Alexis will be Beckett's strongest advocate…
I mean really, what was she doing in the science project scene but checking "blood splatter"…that would have been Beckett's expertise, not her dads.

Ok, I'm going semi-spoiler free on this ep. only watched 2.
The one with Alexis certainly puts a new wrinkle in that plotline. I admit, I didn't see that coming, but it makes sense since Alexis is so used to having her Dad all to himself and since Martha isn't living at home full-time anymore, I guess she's feeling a bit left-out, or left-behind…can't think of the right word.
But don't you find it ironic that Alexis is starting to get jealous of all the time her Dad spends with Beckett, and here she is doing a science project on blood spatter patterns? Even though she's jealous, she's still showing an interest in what Beckett does for a living – crime solving. so she still likes her, it's just that maybe she trying to remind her Dad that he needs to strike a balance between spending time with her and at the precinct.
BTW, I wanna see the farting robot Castle refers to!

It's interesting..Beckett's comments are 'milder' towards Castle..and cute and affectionate. Definitely different. hmmm Even the "And then you open your mouth and ruin it" comment..the way she said it was so different than normal.
Interesting.
Definitely looks like a very funny ep though. YAAAY

Didn't Molly mention in an interview that Aleixs will be talking to Lanie about Forensics? I think the Forensics part would be more in line with Lanie's than Beckett's.
It is interesting if Alexis does begin to resent the time that her Dad spends with Beckett. But I do hope that Alexis realozes than this is her Dad's choice. It's her Dad who is following Beckett around. Maybe it was easier for Alexis to deal with it when her Grams is around but now that Martha had moved out and only spends part-time in the Castle household, then maybe Alexis is feeling a little lonely. I had a feeling that this will come up sooner or later. I mean, Castle spends so much time with Beckett and sometimes, comes home late and tired. And with Alexis graduating in a year, I think that maybe this si something that needs to be addressed more next season.
If Alexis continues to feel this way, I think she should talk to her Dad. I mean, if Castle said to Beckett that he's helping Alexis with ehr Science Project, I don't think Beckett would object. If anything, it's one of the thing Beckett finds endearing about Castle, his relationship with his daughter. And she's aware of how important that is.

dmcw, that's the picture I'm talking about in that clip. You won't be disappointed.
So glad everyone else saw the Alexis clip the same way. I wasn't sure if they'd explore that line even after Molly's interviews. It should be interesting to see how far they take it and whether we'll get a scene with Beckett and Alexis on the matter. I'm sure it'll be addressed with Castle at least.

now i'm REALLY wondering aboutwhat was said in that kitchen scene in the last episode that was cut out where beckett and alexis were having a conversation…
