The plot of Castle’s upcoming ripped-from-the-late-night headlines episode thickens: Ex-Nip/Tuck star Kelly Carlson has been cast in the episode as a love interest for Nathan Fillion’s titular sleuth.

Carlson’s character, an actress by the name of Ellie Rose, meets Castle on the set of a late-night talk show hosted by the Leno-esque Bobby Mann (guest star Tom Bergeron). The two hit it off (and then some), prompting a jealous Beckett to suspect that the starlet is only interested in Castle because she covets a role in the forthcoming movie version of his book, Heat Wave.

As I previously reported, the camptastic episode — not-so-loosely inspired by NBC’s recent Jay/Conan ruckus — revolves around the murder of Bergeron’s character. In addition to theDancing with the Stars emcee, the guest cast boasts Bill Bellamy (playing Conan to Bergeron’s Leno), Fred Willard (as Bergeron’s sidekick), French Stewart (as a Pellicano-esque investigator), and — this just in — Dan Cortese (as the network president tasked with managing the scandal).

Well, Castle gettin involved with an actress, someone Beckett thinks isn't real just sends Beckett a message that Castle wants actresses and mdels.

We all know that Castle's brain drifts south when a pretty,sexy female is in the area. Beckett showing any feeling towards Castle is always a good thing imho.I also believe it's all part of the stall effort to hold on for a couple more seasons before the principals get together.Beckett has had several chances to see the real Richard Castle so she knows he has substance past his playboy ways. (jerking on things that shouldn't be jerked !) I like Beckett jealous,Castle too for that matter. Just another episode of yanking the chain back and forth. Next it will be Becketts turn with the new guy and Castle's (who is more jealous than Beckett most of the time)turn with the green meanie. Serves to keep the viewing audience confused because we all know they are mad for each other. A word by either would start the fire that would burn NYC to the romantic ground.

Castle getting involved with an actress or model,someone Beckett wouldn't see as real shows me he's only getting his sugar fix before the entree is served. Not that he prefers actresses and models but that he can date these women w/o making a commitment if he wants to and no one gets hurt. Bachelorette #3,comes to mind. It's more availability than preference in my mind.

Nope. To me she's a cross between Elizabeth Rohm (Law & Order's Serena Sotherlyn" and Sharon Stone during her "Basic Instinct" days.

I'm so tickled about Heat Wave being made into a movie though. It puts this ridiculous smile on my face.
This episode is stacked with guest stars. Insane.
