Season 2 Episode 221 – Den of Thieves
Air Date: Apr 19, 2010
Summary:
Investigating the murder of a thief, Castle and Beckett are surprised to learn that Esposito has a personal connection to the suspected killer. Another surprise is in line for Castle when Beckett hits it off with the handsome Robbery detective assigned to the case, Tom Demming (Michael Trucco in a recurring role rest of season). Now this romantic triangle must work together to solve the case.

Den of theives huh.. whooooo I hope it is another 'con movie' reference!!
I'm away from this board for 1 week and oh my goodness.. the floodgates have opened!!! soooo much activity!! I don't know how I am going to catch up!! 
lovely to see lots of new fans enjoying castle and jumping in to chat on the forum! 
so.. this is the episode where we meet the famous or infamous (depending on your point of view!!) 'Love interest' of Beckett's!!!!!

Lots of recognizable guest stars in this one too. In addtion to Michael Trucco, also Scott Cohen and Michael Ironside – who do a lot of shows and Merrin Dungey who was Francie on Alias. Very cool.

I saw that Michael Ironside was guesting this morning and thought it's awesome that another great talent will share the stage with this awesome cast. Kudos to the Castle casting department!

Michael Ironside is a wonderful actor. I agree with the kudos to the casting department.
And the episodes written by Will Beall are some of my favorites.

1x07 "Home is where the heart stops" is my all time Castle fave and 2x13 "Sucker punch" is epic.

Completely echo that sentiment! Now I really can't wait to see how this episode turns out. I think I'm running out of room for ranking favorite episodes. Not that I don't like any episodes :laugh:

This ep is supposed to be Will's first of four, right?
Coincidence that Castle is supposed to hit it off with a lady (other guest of 'Late Show', he appears on – Tom Bergeron, the host, dies) in the previous episode?
Kate might have read more into what was happening with Castle & said lady, and be more open that she would to an invitation by someone else…

Not Will, Michael Trucco's character is Tom Demme. Speaking as a BSG fan, I can't wait to see how they work toaster references into these eps!

Me neither! It was great that she got some action scenes in Boom – the foot chase and the short fight at the end, in which, someone posted, she did most of the fighting, even though they had a stunt double for her. Her character does so much investigating (interviewing, interrogating, etc.) that I almost forgot how Stana can also do fight scenes. She tweeted last week about working with an instructor over the weekend for a fight scene, so this should be interesting.
