She's been hurt before and she needs to realize that there are nice guys out there to help her be a little more open to a relationship with Castle, even though it may be far off. At least he's in a different division than her – if he was, then it'd be awkward for both of them when they both realize it's not gonna work out. And I think Castle will be jealous initially, but that he'll eventually do the right thing and back off. As much of a child as he can be, there's definitely a gentlemanly side to him that comes out every once in a while. And as someone else said, that'll send Kate a message too.
AGREED!!!!!! ciuldn't have put it in aa better sense…and Castle will probably do the right thing backing off to see that she's happy…he shows that he does want the best for her…then hopefully she'll see what he's doing…

I figured that they were going to meet during a case in one episode, but that he'd be around in the other 3 or more just as someone she was dating, not because they are still working together. If that is the case, I am actually glad about that because Kate working with this new guy in an ongoing way might damage the professional trust and friendship she has built with Castle, which hopefully will be the foundation for much more in the future between C/B.
And as much as I don't want Castle to be overtly jealous all the time in some crazy way, I kind of hope he doesn't back off too much. I think that might send the wrong signal to Kate…that he doesn't really want more with her than a professional relationship/friendship. I would like to see him fight for her a little…although I'm not sure in what context since they aren't really "there" yet.

Michael Trucco's show "Facing Kate" is with Sarah Shahi from LIFE. Wow. I will definitely be watching this. And I believed that not so long ago, I think it was Ausiello or Ew.com who announced that it was picked up by USA Netowrk for 8 or 10 episodes.
He definitely won't be back next season. For one he is contractually obligated to "Facing Kate" and 2, USA Network is owned by NBC/Universal (I think that's correct) and BAC/Disney being its rival.
I think they are filming in San Francisco. I know that Sarah Shahi plays a lawyer on this show. I'm so happy for Sarah. When LIFE ended, I was devastated. But the ending was satisfying.

According to sarah shahi's twitter account, they start filming in vancouver in June.
It was picked up for 11 editional episodes.
Based on his website and the fan forum, he states that his pilot was picked up by USA, which I think indicates that he will continue to be part of the series.
But we should know first hand ex's can be dropped from the series after the pilot airs.
But it does seem that he is still attached.

I do think Michael Trucco will be around for the 11 episodes since, he plays a lawyer in the DA office and Sarah Shahi plays a mediator, thus adding tension and complications. I think that would be part of Sarah Shahi's battle and it would just make sense to keep Michael Trucco's character around. hehehe.
Let's hope so.

Castle needs to see it with his own eyes that she can be potentially happy with somebody else and if he has serious feelings for her, he should do something about it. So please stop whining. It's not a mistake for the show at all. It's only going to help to develop their relationship further.

Now, now kids. Behave. Let's have some peace here. We all love Castle and Beckett and we want them together. And yes, we are all entitled to our own opinion. Let's respect that.
Like I said in my post, I take the word of Andrew Marlowe in another interview where he said that "Castle will rise to the occasion" regarding this love interest of Beckett. And Stana saying that "Castle will learn something about himself."
Let's not be negative about this love interest. We have to take into account that all who are involved on this show says the same thing "Beckett and CAstle will get together." It's the process that will take a bit of time and it's exciting to see how this all plays out. I believe that they won't lie or cheat us regarding this.
I think everyone in Hollywood knows and have heard of the backlash of Bones. And i don't think anybody wants to make that mistake. As for the show Chuck, as much as I love that show, they have made a grave mistake but bringing in Superman. I just wished he'd go back to the planet of Krypton.

I also think that it's so smart of the show to bring the love interest for the last 4 episodes of the season. This way, they will have time to think about it during hiatus which direction to go in Season 3. They will have a chance to see, hear and consider fans reactions.
