Season 2 Episode 22 – Food to Die For

Air Date: Apr 26, 2010

Summary: 

A high profile chef is found frozen to death in the kitchen of a hot New York restaurant. Complications ensue when Castle and  the restaurant owner, an old high school girlfriend of Beckett's, share an attraction. Meanwhile, Beckett's relationship with Det. Demming continues to grow.

Rocco Dispirito guest stars in the episode as a fan of the dead chef and a fan of Castle's books.

According to imdb.com, episode 22 is called Food to Die For and will air April 26. I don't know if the air date is set in stone or if it will change at all, but if it doesn't change, then that means new episodes of Castle all the way to the end! No repeats, because the last two episodes will air in May (guessing May 3 and May 10, with May 10's episode being the finale) and May is a sweeps month so shows don't air repeats.

Thought I share this with everyone. I'm kinda liking the prospect of no repeats!

Looking forward to this one too, I'm a food junkie.  If this scheduling holds up, I'm kind of surprised that they would only be running 2 episodes in May sweeps.  I would have thought since it is one of their better performing shows, they'd try and get at least 3 episodes into the May sweeps time frame.  Although you can't really take an IMDB date with more than a grain of salt, so until the actual dates are published by ABC,  it isn't certain there won't be a repeat in April.

Guess who's gonna be in it

My guess is Emril, Rachel Ray or Bobby Flay.

If Paula Dean is in it – it will be death by butter!! – but what a way to go.

If it's the barefoot contessa – there will be suicide not a murder.

If they want to up the sexy factor then Giada De Laurentiis would be a good choice.

I'm addicted to the food network. So any one of them guest starring would be awesome in my book. Don't forget Guy Fieri (though he's doing that show on NBC right now) or Duff from Ace of Cakes.

Ok, so had to edit my post again after looking at the episode schedule and calendar. I'm pretty sure we'll get our one week break this month so that the last 4 episodes air in a row and allow 3 of the final episodes to air during May sweeps. I'd be surprised otherwise.

ABC’s just-renewed Castle is taking a stab at reality TV with an episode centered around the murder of a former contestasnt on a Top Chef-like series. But that’s not the big news. This is the big news: The ep features Veronica Mars grad Julie Gonzalo as a high school friend of Beckett’s!

Here’s the sitch: Gonzalo (whose post-Mars resume includes stints on Eli Stone and NBC’s in-limbo Day One) guest stars a beautiful and dynamic restaurateur who finds herself mixed up in the aforementioned murder investigation.

The May sweeps outing, cheekily titled “Food to Die For,” also boasts a cameo by celeb chef Rocco Dispirito as himself.

It’s shaping up to be a busy May for Stana Katic’s smokin’ sleuth. In addition to the arrival of her childhood pal, she’s getting a new love interest in the form of Battlestar Galactica’s Michael Trucco.
