I think I need to quit the internet. All these spoilers!  Did you guys read the official press release?

It looks Castle might just be trying to get some lint or something out of her hair.  Not touching her in a romantic way.  But, given the press release, he's probably also doing it to show her how awesome and thoughtful he is as opposed to "Captain America." 

I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed.  I thought the whole "competing for Beckett's attnetion by trying to one up each other and be the one who unlocks the case" thing died with Will.  I'd thought Demming would be different.  I guess even if you're more decent of a guy than Will, you'll still get jealous eventually of the handsome murder-mystery writer who's trying to help.  And what's Beckett doing inviting him to help?!  To quote Lanie: "Girl, imma smack you."  This seriously irks me!  And on top of all that, it looks like they're messing with Beckett's hair – making it wavy and forgetting about the straight, sleek look that she's had for the last half of the season.  AAARRGGHHH!!!! 

You're probably right, rkcasket.  But it's still irksome!  I really don't think she'll take either side, at least I hope she won't.  The blurb said she has to referee between the two, so she probably will just do her best to keep them from killing each other and at the same time not embarrassing the department.  As I've said before, she's a cop with lots of integrity, so she'll probably just follow whatever each finds until the case is solved.
