kastle, I agree. Maybe I didn't make it very clear since i'm still trying to get my head around what's going to happen, but I'm hoping that Gina's return will be a good thing and bring Castle & Beckett closer. And you raise a very good point – maybe Beckett and Gina will interact just like Castle and Beckett's high school friend.

I don't mind Gina coming back but rekindling, I don't know about that. From what we know so far, Gina took alot of money in the settlement divorce, she did alot os spending cuz he was the one who paid the credit cards and the marriage was sexless. So why even consider rekindling something that isn't worth going back to. I LOVE Castle but I really do feel sorry for him that he keeps falling into this pattern over and over again.
If Gina's presence will help Castle move on from his old habits,
Andrew Marlowe wrote this one, so i'm hopeful.

I kind of mentioned it in my previous post, but this is a concern of mine.
Generally Castle has pretty good pacing, so hopefully it will all work out well, but since Castle and Beckett and their relationship are the focus of the show, I
would hate for all of these other characters (significant ones in that Beckett's friend, Demming, and Castle's ex-wife have connections with them) are being thrown into the mix…and of course there are cases to solve too. This is such interesting (potentially maddening) stuff, that I hope they don't rush through it just to force some sort of decision from Castle and Beckett.

I agree with what alot of people have said about Gina popping in is just to add Castle backstory for viewers as well as Beckett. The "rekindling" part IMO is Marlowe being Marlowe and wanting to bring more drama into the equation.

I am trying to put this in context with all of the previous spoilers that we have been given for the end of the season.
For me the important one was given by AM himself that Castle and Beckett would acknowledge that their attraction for each other is too strong to deny, and they will have to make a decision about what to do. For me the chliffhanger is what "decision" they will be making in regards to their mutual attraction. As far as I can tell every other little tidbit spoiler given to us is about the road that they take to get to that point. Gina will make an appearance, and IMO, will contribute something, whether she intends to or not, positive or negative, that will help Castle and Beckett realize their feeling for each other.
I just really hope that whatever happens, it will leave me in giddy anticipation for the next season as apposed to a summer of high anxiety because of some really horrible cliffhanger that makes me doubt a happy ending for Caskett.

I had all these thoughts running in my head while driving to work.
I think that Castle and Gina will talk and he thinks about Beckett being with Demming, and for second thinks about maybe getting back with Gina. Beckett reacts and then they have sort of an argument. He thinks about it and then decides that getting back with Gina is not a great idea. He needs to break his dating pattern. He goes over to see Beckett and they talk. They will then admit their attraction to each other. Castle will tell her "I know that you're a one and done deal type of girl. And you're my one and done, Kate. But I don't think we are both ready for that." Beckett then asks "So what do we do?"
They hold hands. And that's how the season ends.
As for Demming, I think she ends things with him after her fight with Castle.
I asked Terri Miller when they will be done filming and she said April 30th.

i feel like rekindling is not really a good word..like kyra i feel she's only coming back to give closure on their marriage and we will find out why they broke up…but probably has to do with Naked Heat anyway…and this might answer some of Beckett's questions about his marriage

From what I saw of Gina, in the Pilot epsisode…. What's to rekindle? Sure, we don't really know anything about their relationships past but from how they talked in the episode… I'm just not liking the whole 'rekindle, get back together stuff'. Hopfully it all works out in the end but Gina?! ugh.
