I just can't see how Castle
going along with any romantic move or suggestion that Gina might make tallies with growth on the characters part. If Beckett turns down his offer of the Hamptons (then regrets it of course) maybe at the group dinner Castle mentions he has found another playmate eg. Gina is now going, then Beckett makes the excuse to leave the room on the pretense of getting another drink or something and runs into Gina on the way back in. Lanie's expression in the stills looks pained, but wether it's sympathy for Castle, Beckett or the situtation who's to say.
I guess what I'm saying is I'm scared DOZ is right. I hope we are left with some kind of 'hope' at seasons end. One of the things I love most about this show is I always feel better after watching it, it's a real mood lifter for me. And when I see or read about these characters that I care way too much for being hurt or conflicted I feel a pain, a physical one (never happened before) and I used to be so obsessed with ER and Prison Break it wasn't funny.
And twenty something posts from me now, that's more than I have ever done on a board before. What this show, and all you good people are doing to me, I think the shell I usually hide under must be shrinking!

How can Gina be going to the hamptons and have growth of the characters?Not sure if we have been promised growth of the characters- have we? I thought it was said they could no longer deny their feelings, and a decision must be made.. so for me this still fits. Hmm.. well the only way my mind is coping with this possibility is if it is a misunderstanding, and Gina of course makes Beckett think she is going to the hamptons as Castle's romantic partner – when in reality, he isn't wanting that from her at all ( I will give big yippeeee if that is the case!) – but Beckett will misunderstand…
I have no idea if Demming will be with Beckett at the end of the season, but I do think they will break up during the break offscreen if they are together if that makes sense..
You know what- I don't want to be right about this either.. and I had just the most awful feeling when I heard Gina was coming back.. duh…. duh duh duh!!! I was speechless..
I am wondering if I should hold off watching overkill and watch it together with the finale all in one go- then I only have to get drunk once – ha haaaaa!!!!

I wondering something about the Hamptons because if you're remember the little story about how Castle is become a writer to Beckett in "Vampire weekend" about the little boy is in Hamptons ? Is it conected somehow ? Cos' they're lot of other places to go why "the hamptons" ???
And It could explain why in the picture everybody is sad except Castle …cos' they're know something he don't.
Somebody has another link cos' it doesn't work out USA or tell me what happens. THANKS

Hello! I got the Hamptons reference from the promo –
Castle appears to be asking Beckett to the Hamptons with him..
**Edited to add- I just read this episode is on the theme of 'nothing being what it seems' in terms of the Castle/Beckett ending – misunderstanding each other sounds like it would fit right in with this theme… Beckett misunderstanding why Gina is going to the hamptons – (ie. it's for the book, hopefully not for nookie!) ya dig??

I was thinking the same thing. The clips are spliced together . You never actually see Beckett and Castle talking at the same time about the Hamptons. For all we know, they are two separate conversations, or he might be asking the whole gang to come visit the Hampton House-not just Beckett specifically.

Hey Doz Thanks for the welcome. Re: the character growth for Castle, I may have somehow made that up, or wishful thinking or something. This is all getting so confusing. I'll add to the request for a different link to the sneak peeks, I have no will power where Castle is concerned. Maybe someone who can see them can describe what goes on? thanks.

I don't think that
Castle meant what he said in the first sneek peak either…….he's just saving face in front of his male, writer buddies. They are definitely trying to confuse us with all the mixed clips in the promos.
