Oh phoey! Looks like the numbers are artificially inflated.
UPDATE: Sorry “Castle” fans, but between the Dancing with the Stars overrun adjustment and all the people in Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Green Bay watching Brett Favre/Monday Night Football on the local ABC affiliates, Castle didn’t wind up rising after the numbers were adjusted. In the final numbers, Castle averaged a 2.2 adults 18-49 ratings — tvbythenumbers

OfflineIt's a bummer about the numbers. I've been a downer about them so I was going to keep my mouth shut until the final numbers were announced.
The headline this morning got a lot of fans excited into believing that Castle had a huge spike. But I knew they not only had to worry about the usual DWTS run off but one of the biggest football games too. Even numbers experts predicted Castle's numbers wrong too. Not even they expected the drop it took. Most thought it would pull in a 2.4/2.5 even.
What I don't get is now they label Castle as a big loser. It basically stayed the same in the key demo. A .1 drop to be exact and while the total viewers are down about 300,000 I chalk that up to Castle being preempted in those markets that game was aired instead.

DVR numbers are up.
Castle rose from a 2.2 to a 2.9 in the 18-49 demo with a viewer increase of 24% (If I'm reading things correctly)
