I absolutely love Beckett's being so secretive about reading the book. She's still holding onto not giving him the satisfaction of letting him know that she's a rabid fan just like the rest of us. It's so adorable. Honestly, I don't know how she keeps it together. If it were me, I'd be a blithering idiot. :rofl:
Alexis was awesome. But isn't Castle just the greatest dad to admit he was out of line and apologize? Made me melt into a puddle of goo, let me tell you.

A really good episode – one of my favorites. As a fan who has been vocal about boosting the Castle/Beckett chemistry sooner rather than later to build and maintain audience, tonight was an excellent start in that direction. Whether they fight it or go with it, its the juju.

I so totally jumped when Castle appeared in the stall at the end! I was not expecting that! I also of course ran to my copy of Heat Wave and checked the page number. He was totally right! BSTL! This is my new all time favorite episode!! It even replaces "Home is Where the Heart Stops"

OH MY, that was the best!!! Beckett got in one point after another throughout this episode, but then at the end Castle got in the big score in the bathroom. Can't write more, need to see it again!

I definitely agree, this was THE best episode of the season. It had everything in it that reminded me of why I began watching Castle in the first place. I loved the give and take between Castle and Beckett with Beckett "scoring points" most of the episode until Castle got her good at the end. And, like all the other "suckers" I immediately ran to my Heat Wave book and checked out page 105!!! I feel so fortunate to have purchased that book because I suspect they'll mention other things in it throughout the season.
If there was ever an episode to write to ABC about, lauding Castle, this is it.

I laughed out loud so many times during this ep. Just fantastic.
I still feel that the cases themselves are a bit lightweight at times–which is why this one doesn't quite trump last season's "Chill goes through her veins"–but the character dynamics are definitely firing on all cylinders at this point. Oh, and it was great seeing Alexis get some teeth this ep. While I like the contrast between her and Castle, I don't think she needs to be a complete angel.
More! One week til the next ep is just too long!

I agree with everyone. This is now my new favorite episode. It was awesome!! The scenes with Alexis were great, the story line was awesome, the crime was very well thought out and pulled together, and we still were able to keep onto the characters more then the actual crime, which is definately a handful to begin with.
And the end of course was terrific. I did not expect that at all. And I so ran to my book to!! And jumped to page 105!!! lol. That was hilarious. I made the same expression Beckett did. That was definately a funny treat.

I'm raising my glass to the Castle cast, TERRIFIC episode!

Okay, LOVED this ep! I think it's safe to say that it's my favorite from the series. I was grateful for the heavy humor–found myself giggling like a loon on multiple occasions. I just knew Castle was going to catch her in the bathroom reading the book, but when it happened I still laughed my arse off. Beckett's reaction was priceless, and I love how he didn't have any qualms on following her into the bathroom. Even better, how she got over her mortification and flipped right to the page. Her gaping at the book made me laugh even more. I read romance books every day, but my jaw dropped too when I read it, just because I was making believe that Castle actually wrote it. My roommate was teasing me that I might as well not watch tonight since I was just going to watch tomorrow on Hulu (gotta get those ratings up!), and I denied it just to keep my fangirl-status low. Of course, after this episode ended I had no qualms admitting it. Can you tell I'm still pumped over it? LOL

Best episode ever! Loved, loved, loved this episode. The Beckett/Castle give and take was fantastic, Alexis/Castle dressing down – so good – and Kate's reaction to it- haha, the Castle stare down of Dylan – too funny, the case had great twists and turns and the ending bathroom scene had me totally laughing off my couch! I already rewatched about half of it. Wow! Hats off to the writer and the cast, truly amazing.

Although I agree that Beckett's reaction to getting busted by Castle at the end of the episode was the absolute highlight of the show (If not the season so far), another thing that made me smile was the continuity between last night's episode and the week before. Specifically, when Beckett asks Castle what Nikki Heat would do after a hard case, he tells her she'd light some candles, run a hot bath, and drink a glass of wine while reading a good book.
Looks like she took his advice to heart…unless he really does know "Nikki Heat" like the back of his hand. Not sure if she would have done it that way whether or not he'd mentioned it, or if by mentioning it he made her want to try it, but either way I loved that scene.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that quickly ran to grab the book to see if the page number was right!! haha.
This was definitely the best episode of castle IMO. I loved the wit, the chemistry between all the characters, etc. Just a fantastic show!!
Even the promo for next week's episode looked really good!!
Kate looks stunning in that dress!! That girl can do no wrong when it comes to fashion!!!

I agree with everything said here. Best episode ever. I was laughing out loud so much I'm afraid I missed other gems.
The bathroom stall scene was the funniest stuff yet. I wasn't expecting him to appear like that and her reactions were priceless. She's such a fan girl and had no probelm with flipping to page 105 like that. Castle for the win after all the little jabs Beckett was getting in on him.
The CIA guy was hilarious too. I hope we see him appear and disappear some more.
I don't know if I'll be able to wait for next weeks episode. I hope they post some clips for that to help the week go by.

My favorite episode will always be the pilot because that's when I met these characters, but this trumps all else. I'd like to mention that I'm very thankful that the clips we are given do not ruin the show for us. It's like giving candy to a kid, we don't know when to stop, so someone has to offer guidance. Much appreciated.
OK, here we go…..Feed the birds with gloves on? I like it! I'm gonna try that. And, the 
after 'I've been married twice' gives me good reason to use my favorite smiley. 'Can I see the body?' 'Umm…..No.' (with the confirmative head nod) 
The captain is back, and he ain't no sucker! 
The Chrysler building is the best part about the New York skyline. Thanks for showing it at night and at dawn. So pretty. Martha's 'Hormones, what's your excuse?' 
Molly was fantastic in this episode! 'Am I a 
, Dad?'….. Even Castle was disappointed with himself after her interrogation. So good.
And finally, I'm not going to say anything specific about Stana's performance because I think there are quite a few people here that are sick and tired of me going on and on, but I will say this……If Stana is not nominated for an emmy for this series, my reaction will be: "SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!"
