Kind of my reaction! I must admit I really was not expecting a sex scene in the book but I was delighted to find one. I wonder if there were any in Rick's earlier books? If not then she's be even more surprised to find it in there. I think they handled it really well, informative and sexy but not too far over the top. I'll bet Rick was having fun writing that imagining Kate's reaction

Let me tell you something about crazy people. The sex is unbelievable.

I doubt that she had problems with the scene, but I agree that there could have been a few takes due to laughter. I like that the writers didn't let her actually read Heat Wave until right before they shot this episode. It probably made her reaction more genuine.

She did great! I just can't imagine her getting through it without laughing…. I can't imagine either of them being able to do it just once without laughing. Granted they do have to shoot a scene several differnt times from different angels. They are professionals and great at what they do. I bet they both had a blast with the scene. Anywho…just wanted to clarify.
Oh..and Sorry to all the stana fans if i made that sound like she didn't completely rock in that scene or that ep. Because she most totally did.

I can't get the quote and reply-button to work…
to Luna: TheCastleFan has probably been on the abc.com webpage, the episode review picture at the bottom of the Castle page shows Kate pinching Castle's cheek. Probably when she said "Oh Castle, you're such an easy mark, aren't you."
to Yoojoo: fast learner… don't mess with our Stana :) But I agree: they probably had tons of fun.

I'm rewatching while I have time to pay a little more attention to what's going on – some of the little things I enjoyed aside from the stuff people have already talked about.
- Ryan handing Castle the remote – then Castle just passing it off to Esposito and Esposito doing the facial – why are you giving me this?? – I love the interplay between these three guys.
- Nathan hiding the Firefly reference in there in such a way that for anyone not looking for it you have no idea he's even doing it.
- Castle handing Beckett the coffee before asking her if she's read it yet.
- The way Castle looks at Esposito when Ryan is faking his back pain – it's so funny.
- The straight jacket impersonation
- Beckett's "thankyou…. for coming…." and the expressions during her departing the interoggation with the cat woman followed by the "ahhh…. NO" with the lean forward.
- Ryan's laugh when they have the pizza – it's almost a giggle, very cute.
- Esposito's expression when Beckett says who's the sucker.
- Beckett throwing the penciil at Esposito
- The boys teasing Castle about unresolved feelings
- More to come….
Question – what did Castle say when he was playing with the fake snow?

More stuff….
- Castle's sadness at realising he did the wrong thing for Alexis
- "Best Case Ever"
- Castle saying "Save these they're evidence" to the mother as he and Beckett run out
- The entire Beckett book reading scene

Aa someone who's spent a lot of time editing audio …. the audio they played for the faked message isn't what was on the screen the wave forms weren't right for the words (as if anyone else would notice hehe)

Wow and I thought the NYTBSL jump from #26 to #8 was huge! That's amazing!! It just goes to show how many people are actually watching the show.

This is definitely THE BEST episode so far and my new favourite. Stana was absolutely phenomenal in it and I think she definiitely should be nominated for an Emmy award.

This is one of the best ep, it had everything that I like in a show. Richard and Kate are starting to get on such a roll.
The line from Kate, 'Shut the front door!' was just perfect. It makes the show seems so real to me because I could see someone really saying that to a friend.
Keep it comming ABC!
P.S. I mailed in 2 packages to ABC with Castle chess pieces, so everyone do you share and invite more people to watch the show.

You know, I actually wondered about that when they played back the audio. Not that I would have been able to tell if it was correct or not.
The only thing that bothered me about this episode is that once again, a conversation that Castle had with Alexis sparked an idea about the case. Him getting worked up about Dylan made him wonder if the father was ever suspicious of his future son in law. Even my mom has started to notice this (and usually things like that go over her head). I hope the writers change this eventually.

Strangely enough, I don't mind this aspect of the show. In my mind it links both parts of his 2 worlds together and I think it's clever that things that happen in his home life resound in similar ways in his "professional" life. Those insights are usually of a personal nature and more often than not, forces him to hold up a mirror to himself. Usually it's insightful and makes him grow as a person.
I understand where you're coming from but I just don't necessarily agree that it is a bad thing.

From my own personal experience, I often find that my creative ideas are inspired by the every day stuff so I don't think it's that much of a stretch to believe that Castle is constantly inspired with new ideas by what's going on at home

I agree with what you're saying, and I thought the same thing the first few times that it happened. It does show how he can grow as a person and it shows the connection between his home and work life, but it's getting really repetitive.
