Wow and I thought the NYTBSL jump from #26 to #8 was huge! That's amazing!! It just goes to show how many people are actually watching the show.

Where did you near that it jumped to #8 on the NYTBSL?

I never thought of it that way. Ugh stupid sleep deprivation Doh I solemnly swear after this block of classes I will get proper sleep and not miss any of these great Castle lines.

Lilmac, this is like the day you realized Rook is another word for Castle in chess. Embarassed

Him getting worked up about Dylan made him wonder if the father was ever suspicious of his future son in law. Even my mom has started to notice this (and usually things like that go over her head). I hope the writers change this eventually.

Strangely enough, I don't mind this aspect of the show. In my mind it links both parts of his 2 worlds together and I think it's clever that things that happen in his home life resound in similar ways in his "professional" life. Those insights are usually of a personal nature and more often than not, forces him to hold up a mirror to himself. Usually it's insightful and makes him grow as a person.

I understand where you're coming from but I just don't necessarily agree that it is a bad thing.

From my own personal experience, I often find that my creative ideas are inspired by the every day stuff so I don't think it's that much of a stretch to believe that Castle is constantly inspired with new ideas by what's going on at home

I agree with what you're saying, and I thought the same thing the first few times that it happened. It does show how he can grow as a person and it shows the connection between his home and work life, but it's getting really repetitive.

I want to echo the sentiments of others and say that this is definitely one of my favorite episodes.

I love the ramping up of the tension between Castle and Beckett. And Stana was absolutely adorable the way she played "flirtatious Beckett." The power is shifting in the Castle/Beckett relationship and, I for one, love it. Bounce2

I'm not sure off hand Admin. I'd have to go shovel or rather bulldose through all the old tweets.

I heard people talking about it jumping to #8 on Facebook too. Of course, those were just random people, but I'm assuming at least some of them had real sources.

I read that too. Actually, I think Castle posted about it on his Twitter.

Actually, I think WriteRCastle posted it on his Twitter himself. Also, he's beat Dan Brown on the Amazon list, at least for a little while. Let me see…

"I feel a victory coming on. Thanks to you all I’m gaining on Dan Brown. Heat Wave #8 on Amazon."  2:44 PM Oct 13th from web

Copied/pasted that from the Twitter. Not sure where I read about him actually beating Dan Brown, but I did see the actual page where they'd showed it. I think Heat Wave was two above DB's book.

OT: Wolf-fire, WHERE did you get your avatar pic? I love it!

Agh! My posts aren't appearing! Giving it a third try…

WriteRCastle said on his Twitter that they'd reached #8, too:

"I feel a victory coming on. Thanks to you all I’m gaining on Dan Brown. Heat Wave #8 on Amazon.  2:44 PM Oct 13th from web"

Copied/pasted that from his page. Also read somewhere later that Heat Wave had beat out DB's book, at least by two places. Will have to search that one out, but I remember looking at the page…I think it was through Barnes and Noble…

It appears there's some confusion about bookselling lists, lol.

#4 on Barnes & Noble
#8 on Amazon.
#26 on NYTBL.

Although, we'll get a new NYTBL tomorrow, right?

(Luna, I have that same pic. Click Here!)
