I agree with this. You really can tell his feelings with one glance at his face. That's what I love about Castle. He's so easy to read. LOL…

I also have to put my .02 cents in on the character of Paula.  She bothers me, big time. I can fully accept that they needed someone with a thick NY accent on the show for believeability.  BUT… She does not fit, and she is not, IMO, believeable in this role. First off, she works with people of intelligence and respectability due to her job.  Speaking that way to someone, friend or not, in the litterary world would have you without a job. Period. End of Story. She is crass and gauche. Second, she speaks like a hick (even being from NYC.) That is very out of character for any New Yorker. And I've known more than my share due to my last job.  Third, Someone of her capacity who has the ear of the litterary world would be well educated and would show a few more social graces than Paula's character does. I REALLY hope they do not intend to bring her back into Castle's life as a romantic interest in any way, shape or form. That would be a death knoll. I hope they phase her out quickly. All the other characters are so well written, and so polished. She is not as a character.

I agree about Castle showing his emotions clearly on his face. You can really see how his feelings for Beckett have changed. It started out with him just being attracted to her, and not being afraid to let anyone, including her, know about it. Now whenever someone asks him if he has feelings for her, he either changes the subject or doesn't really respond, but he never denies it. I just love how he's evolving. :)

Personally, I couldn't have formed an educated opinion on Castle with just hearing a couple of minutes or so of dialogue, he first seems like a pompous jerk in the book signing part in "Flowers for Her Grave". As his character was developed, we find out he's a loveable jerk who really doesn't mean any harm. :) But that's beside the point.

Overall, I'd say that from what I've seen, I kind of like her character. She gives us an opportunity to (possibly) see how deep Castle's feelings for Beckett go. Sure, she could cause some roadblocks in the C/B relationship, but isn't that what these kinds of shows are about? C'mon, you know you secretly love all the angst of them "getting *this* close, to getting closer"… 

I have a feeling that this'll be one of those characters we're supposed to love to hate. :P

Anyway, I'll withold any further judgement until after I've seen the episode :)

I agree.

Also, I think that the roadblocks she creates will bring Castle and Beckett closer together in the long run.

Oww… and I thought I had an adverse reaction to her. I admit though, her accent seems exaggerated for comedic value. Almost like Fran Drescher from The Nanny. I saw Debbi on DWTS and she didn't talk like that then.

It's all good. I just look at it as a chance to throw something at the screen when she's on and putting roadblocks in the C/B hook up.

The Kate vs. Paula thing is a battle of the boroughs for sure.  The contrasts are exaggerated & endless.  I'm so looking forward to it.  Paula's got nothing on Beckett, so Beckett will eventually eliminate her and it will be a joy to watch it play out.  Beckett's going to have to step it up if she wants to stay in the game.  This is going to be fun!  God bless Debi Mazar for causin' a ruckus.  I love a good .

i think beckett choose to wear that dress to tease castle like she did in hell hath no fury a way of flirting. the dress bascially says yes i do look hot but you cant have me. and that whats beckett acts towards castle.

SydneyDeb "ka-pow" (just kidding) tonight in a little more than 1 hour we will find out what happens.

Tell me that she is not looking like a detective, but she is dressing up like Nikki Heat. Even a fan of Castle books would not dress up in that blue dress unless she wants to make a statement that Becket can act like Nikki is she wants.

Thoughts?
