Wow!! So I as usual loved this episode.
Loved the "u smell like cherry" moment and the scene following with Esposito and Ryan. Castle's "YES!" and Beckett's "NO". haha. Very good Caskett moments overall.
Who else loved the whole "Aww you took care of the egg for me" moment?
Where did Becektt get the costume from? lol. "Now we're even!!"
I do kinda wished that Castle had shared his reason for being interested in murder with BEckett. I felt last season, when Beckett shared her mom's murder story with Castle was what started a whole new chapter as them being closer……..wish same thing happened today.
Anyone think that what happened at the party Alexis and her friend went to has something to do with what Alexis's "explosive secret" that she shares with BEckett is? I'm thinking maybe something happened!!

Not sure where you're getting the "Alexis' explosive secret" thing from – probably a description of an episode I haven't read, but maybe it has to do with Castle's past? His father, maybe…
Loved seeing Nathan in the browncoat once again. And those who feel he is obsessed with it should be heartened by the way it was dismissed as "the past"…

Yeah, hadn't quite got that far yet… I don't mind spoilers generally speaking, but I do try to pace myself!
Have to say, the opening of this ep was so great. Swooning to the max.

indo.. I liked a couple of lines in this episode "you want to know, you gotta show" from E to B. Then, "you're Detectives, detect".. I prefer humor (the yank backwards on the stairs had me "howlin") and am a romantic so – agree with you on the "you took care of the egg for me" whole scene and the real concern with the coffin for his well-being. The most "riveting" was her complete interest/trust in what he was telling her about "when he was a child" – I wanted to whack him myself when he got that grin on his face.. he he
There was sooo much packed in this episode to remember it all to comment right now (I'll be watching it again).
The writer really did some research and gave me a better way to carve my pumpkin on Saturday (I have a Dremmel). I think another layer was peeled for Beckett. Oh, I love the leather jackets she wears – I need one and I love the ones she wears in ths episodes.
Oh, agree on the "explosive secret" – something happened – she was too emotional for nothing.

to indo: No, it's already posted here in the forum (I just read it – yep Episode 9 ) so there is no harm done, I think.
Is the show really using a true-life time-line like that, I wonder? That something that happens tonight shows up three episodes later? Dunno.
Swooner here as well,Greenyjess…

^^^ *shrug* Not sure. I'm not really bothered that much- already over it. Don't know if that's worth deleting or not. Have to check with our Admin.
Much feeding of the birds to Robert Duncan and the music again!! Loved the musical homage to go with the costume homage. I would so buy a soundtrack of this show.
Edit: FTB to spinja, too. ;)

right!! totally forgot about the yank from the stairs!! I will definitely have to re-watch. Wayyyy too many things happened for just a 1 time view!!
Plus I was totally happy that Tom Bergeron stated that for all fans of NAthan Fillion's work should tune into Castle because theres a surprise…or something like that. I don't get the firefly references although I'm thinking of renting the series and Serenity just to be in the loop for these inside jokes!! kinda feel left out!! Anyhoooo…my point being that maybe other fans of Nathan Fillion that don't normally tune into Castle may tune in today resulting in a spike in the ratings!!

indo.. I hope we can convert them as well and spike the ratings.(I can't get the quote to work – fyi) I noticed the competion keeps going to the extreme between their main characters or having major guests – think they know a "Castle" can attack in a chess game.. he he

omg…
well, if you have yet to see Firefly, it might not have hit you as hard as we swooners…
Nathan Fillion, as in the trailer, bursts in wearing full Capt. Mal Reynolds (aka Captain Tightpants) regalia. He banters with Alexis who relegates his "space cowboy" outfit to "the past"…
But he looked SO FINE bursting into that room…my my my…

Indo – For me it was more the very beginning cut bits of him 'suiting up' as it were. And then he bursts out the door and I'm just done for. For a Firefly fan, it was swoontastic.
Edit: I am so making avatars tomorrow.

I have to put my two cents in here too. I do love my Captn'. So I was swooning right along with the rest of you. Alexis was just too cute with the "Didn't you wear that, like, 5 years ago?" comment. She said it with just the right amount of sass and I swear I saw a 'you're so lame' eye roll on her. Typical teenager! LOL. That was definately one of the best scenes in the whole show.
But I need to bring something else to light that had me bouncing off the ceiling. No one else here would know this but I feel the need to have to tell this. Remember the part where he was reading aloud the news release from 18 years prior about Crow's real mother's death? I am almost sure I remember his words exactly. I think he said something like "The body of a young woman was found in Pennsylvania in a heavily wooded area just North of the Lehigh River. " I started to bounce up and down in happiness. He just described the area I live in! I live in Allentown and I know the river quite well. Allentown is part of the Lehigh Valley River basin. How very cool that they worked that into a script. My area is a two hour drive from NYC.
As a side note : Let me also add that if you know where to look Vampirism is alive and well in Pennsylvania.

Let me start by saying this episode had the most cross over discussions between work and personal lives then any other show. (Let me know if I am wrong)
Favorite scenes:
1. Molly telling her dad to move on with the space cowboy costume. (Nice Firefly nod)
2. Beckett's reference to comic artist and Castle filling a book with what he does not know about her.
3. She did not even mind Castle bringing the death of her mom. (compared to last time)
4. While looking at the graphic novel, Castle tells Beckett that she smells like cherries. They both look at each other the Esposito saying am I interrupting something?Beckett -NO;Castle -YES.
5. Beckett tugging Castle back when he tries to enter the building. (so funny)
6. Beckett telling Castle to give tit for tat. (she wants him to tell her more)
7. The great looking sexy jacket prank on Castle. (I was so expecting a cray twist to her costume, and she did not let us down.)
What does this all mean:
The writers are starting to pick up the speed of the relationship between Castle & Beckett. Castle telling Esposito that he was interruping them. Beckett being so silly which shows how much she is opening up to Castle.
