Hello Castle/Nathan Fans!
I was pretty turned into a Gooey mess on the floor by my TV after I saw the first 5 minutes of last night's episode. I really can't remember the rest of the show. Was it something about Vampires?
Anyways, back to finding some more Allience credits so I can fly to LA for Creation Con. I really need to buy myself a spaceship!

lol! but the "cherries" scene is my FAVORITE!!!!! haha but i actually want to know why castle became a mystery writer..it would be interesting to know..
and his story got me 2..i rele thought it was real..

My favorite moments:
1.) "You smell like cherries" and everything that followed in that scene
2.) Beckett taking care of the baby egg
3.) Castle offering to stay with Beckett while she called the victim's family
4.) Beckett pulling Castle back by his jacket before they entered that building
5.) Castle's evil laugh while carving the pumpkin and then he got choked, LOL

I adore when they're in Damon's (spelling?) apartment Beckett says "Castle, don't touch" and he says "I know," even though he's currently touching stuff. I find it cute that she didn't even need to look at him to know he was touching.

Just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else had this suspicion b/c my spidy sense was tingling. It was when Castle told the whole 'this was where my fasination with the Macabre came from' story about his childhood friend. Even after it was revealed that he was joking and just making up a story to mess with Beckett i couldn't help but think that it really did happen. Here is why… He mentioned earlier in the episode when about the psychology of people who do things like drink blood and have sex in coffins. He said something to the effect of, they usually have had terrible childhood tragedies that have left them scarred like seeing their puppy run over or a death of a CHILDHOOD FRIENDor parent. Now I could be completly gullable because we all know castle is a master story teller but something about it seems plausable. And if that really wasn't what turned him on to the Macabre, what did? I don't know….just wondering what your theories are? I am just really curious now! Dang those writers….hooking me in and all! :laugh:
On another note i am not going to recap all of what everyone has already said about the ep b/c that would be redundant. But i pretty much loved everything that everyone has already mentioned about the ep. Loved it! fun times!

And I am definitely looking forward to V with Morena. The Firefly cast does seem to doing pretty well right now! Would love to see Alan somewhere, too.
A new comment for Ep. 6:
I really like the way Alexis' story mirrored the case story instead of the other way around. The circumstances of the case allowed Castle to deal with her situation better instead of Alexis helping him solve the crime. Neat twist there by Terri Miller. Way to mix it up.
Actually I think Alan shows up on V too. He's listed in the Pilot. Whohoo! I love those space cowboys.

I concur with most everything everyone else has said. I'm not sure this was my favorite episode, because I really liked last week's episode too, but this week's at least tied for my favorite. I think the writer's are really hitting their stride with the right mix of "romance" for Caskett and the right mix of "awkward moments" to keep them both a little at bay.
I am also loving the extra nuances where Beckett is becoming involved every so slowly with Castle's "other life"–ie. taking care of the egg, asking about Alexis. From the episode previews, seems like Beckett will be getting more involved in something with Alexis…and I like that aspect very much. This puts Beckett IN Castle's space instead of Castle always being in Beckett's space. That bodes well for their "future" together in a romantic sense.
I think the writers are handling the whole "romance" aspect just right. While it may be moving forward at a snail's pace, it is still moving forward. And apparently their "chemistry" has become apparent to Ryan and Esposito…nice use of those two to solidify an awkward moment.
All in all a great episode. I am so glad we're getting 22 episodes this season.

Also loved how Beckett had that look on her face when Castle was talking about Alexis and her friend going to their first senior party. I think I've watched that clip almost as much as I've watched the you smell like cherries one.

Am I the only one who never fathomed Kate Beckett smelling like cherries of all things? I imagine some sultry scent. lol
Overall, I loved this episode. I was a bit disappointed with Kate's Halloween costume after all of the anticipation. Slutty nurse (or Nikki Heat!) wouldn't have been realistic for the character, which is fine, but all of that play up and then that just didn't do it for me.
I wanted to slap Castle for the story he told her. I really hope that it was based in truth and she'll uncover that later on. If not, given Kate's history, that move was kind of over the top douchey in my book!
One moment I really liked was when they were going in to arrest the "real" vampire and Castle was going up the steps first and she grabbed his jacket and pulled him back.
Stana is totally my girl crush after this show. I am totally straight, but she is gorgeous and she brings so much to Kate Beckett. Her expressions are just priceless.
