That Vampire mythology is actually from the "Underworld" movie series, just in case anyone is wondering.

It is a trilogy, starting with Underworld, Underworld: Evolution and finally Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

Lycans are what we would call werewolves.

I also noticed that the gravestone Elizabeth Drayden is probably a take off on The Crow. The main character is called Eric Draven and he of course dies and comes back from the grave to exact revenge, thus the question mark on the tombstone noting the year of death.

David Boreanaz played the villain in the 4th installment The Crow: wicked prayer. Boreanaz of course played Angel in the Buffy series which Nathan guest starred as Caleb.

I'm looking forward to the Halloween episode. It fits in well with the overall theme of Castle. Plus not many shows do Halloween episodes which is a plus.

Still no pictures of Beckett's costume. Sad

Nah, it sounds like to me it's going to be a gag running through the show. Castle says costumes are mandatory for his party- there's the promo photos of him holding up costume suggestions- then the photo of her wearing the coat presumably over her costume… I'm sure there will be some sort of joke to this in the show.

Agreed. I can't see Beckett passing up a chance to push Castle's buttons with the whole costume thing. It would be fantastic to watch her dig him about not wearing a costume to his party and tell him how childish they are and then totally blow him away with some really great costume underneath the Coat. She has done that sort of thing several times this season. First with the whole "haven't read your book yet." then again with the "I don't like con movies" thing. It would be fun to see that whole dynamic in this episode too.

I was never a firefly super fan but what if she is wearing a famous costume from that show? Like I said, I was not a firefly super fan so I don't know if there was ever a knock 'em dead, totally amazing costume ever made for the show but that would have totally been a super cute idea. Just saying….

There were some kickin' outfits that Morena Baccarin wore as Inara.  That would be a total blast to see, since Beckett remarked about his Mal Costume (not specifically, but by mentioning the suspenders) while walking through the graveyard.  Funny thing is I can see Beckett as the kind of person to be a Firefly fan. Completely based on her comments about hating con movies. The whole "nothing to invest in as characters" statement to be exact. In Firefly, even though we only ever had 14 episodes, you really got to meet and connect with the characters.  For me at least, I found that the characters pulled my emotions along for the ride.  Beckett appears to be the kind of person who would sink their teeth into a book, movie or tv show  and become fully engrossed in it. After all, look how many hours she logs infront of that whiteboard invested in her victim's lives.  It fits her personality. So I could fully envision her dressed in that purple(ish) colored dress that was in the video link about the Revers in another thread.  Besides we know she likes fancy dresses. It's not that far of a stretch.

Seems to me, in keeping with the other costumes, it ought to be something that nods to one of her previous roles. Or something more fitting with Beckett's personality, like Castle's Poe costume. Or something that will only make sense once we've seen the episode! Crazy
