That's great!  I just don't understand why DWTS always goes over.  Each week another couple leaves, so they should be able to cut the show down to fit it in the two hour spot.

Final numbers are actually better than expected.  I'm wondering what happens next year when Castle isn't against Monday Night Football and how the ratings will do when DWTS ends in two weeks. 

DWTS this year hasn't played much a factor with Castle this season. I'd be willing to bet money that the tick down in the key demo was from the football game.

I checked the final numbers and Castle gained 381,000 more viewers from last week and has kept a 2.4 rating for 3 weeks running I believe. And even notced a 2.5 a couple weeks back.

If Castle keeps these numbers and ABC doesn't have another hit show in the spring I like our chances of another season. The big test comes when The Bachelor is the lead in instead of DWTS.

I don't think the problem is with amount of viewers.  The 18-49 ratings is where the advertisers and tv studios look at.  2.4 is still on the borderline of success.  If it was doing a 3.0 18-49 rating and 9 million viewers it would be considered a hit.  I think it could grow next year with a 2.7 with no football airing and a growing fanbase.
