I'm liking the idea of a relationship developing between Alexis and Beckett.  We already know that Castle, while a bit of a "playboy" is an excellent Dad.  What better way for Beckett to really "catch his eye in a new light" than to befriend Alexis in a pseudo Mom role.  I think the Alexis-Beckett relationship has great potential for advancing the story between Castle and Beckett.

Castle will take his daughters input/feelings to dictate his relationship with Beckett. Since he is such a good father, he will be on the lookout to make sure his next real girlfriend will love and care for Alexis as he does.
