I'm still wodering if the secret is case related or on a more personal level. It seems more likely that it be case related since we haven't hade any indication that Beckett and Alexis communicate at all aside from what we saw in FLW and maybe in ep 7 in season one. It just seems weird that Alexis would feel comfortable enough to share something personal with Beckett. I could maybe see her asking for advice though depending on the subject..

She very well may be asking for advice about something..it would make sense. Beckett is really the only woman Alexis seems to know well-ish other than her grandmother. And Beckett is closer to Alexis' age..

I'm guessing it has to do with the case. Seems to me Castle is doing something illegal, like holding back information or hiding a suspect/witness from the police, at least something that tampers with the investigation,   - maybe Alexis is more in line with the police than with her father…

I'm looking forward to this because it might be a reason for Beckett and Castle to NOT agree on a case, to argue or fight, over a REAL issue, not just about waiting in the car and such. Differences in views, morals, where to draw the line for what a cop/citizen can or cannot do legally, now that's interesting.

I wish I knew how to quit you.

I've been reading the speculation here with major interest, and of course have been spoiled for all of the pics and information because I'm pretty mucha 12-year-old child in my mind, and instant gratification isn't fast enough.

Honestly, this looks like a fabulous episode all-around, and I can't believe I have to wait a week now to see it. I just saw ep. 8 an hour and a half ago, and already I am jonesing. This show is addictive. :)

Here's what I think the explosive secret is:  Meredith has asked Alexis to move to LA to live with her (either immediately or after her school year is over) and Alexis is actually considering it (maybe Paige is still mad and maybe Owen and she broke up?).  She asks Beckett for advice, since it seems like her Dad doesn't need her as much anymore since he's found the 12th Precinct and Det. Beckett, of course.

What do you think, sirs?

I think Alexis even entertaining the idea of moving in with her mom is rather unbelieveable. I mean, it works to an extent, but from everything we've seen, Alexis and her mother are not close. Alexis seemed relieved to be rid of her. Her relationship with Owen didn't really seem *that* devestating and again, the Paige thing was so short that it seems random that she would be so upset over all of it that she would want to move. It would really go against everything we've seen and at least for me, come really out of left field.

Personally, i think that its something nonpersonnal..we really haven't seen Alexis and Beckett seen in a scene together, and assuming that they don't really talk (maybe) but Alexis does look up to her because she's really the first authoritive figure (besides her father, but he's a softy Smile)

my intake is maybe Alexis witnesssed something like gang violence or i like the idea of the call girl like blackmailing Castle…and she turns to beckett…just my two cents..ROFL

I agree. It's highly unlikely that Alexis share sonething personal with Beckett. My guess it that Alexis sees something involving her father and the call girl and brings it to Beckett's attention because she doesn't know how her dad will respond to it. Like if she thinks that Castle is involved with the call girl because she sees them kiss (from the promo pics) for example. If she brings this news to Beckett it may intefere with the way she handles the case. The ep description did say that Beckett would have to choose between justice and breaking a promise or something.

Sorry for the double post.. it won't let me edit, but I just thought about this, I don't know if it's been brought up before but if Castle takes a liking to the call girl and Alexis finds out something bad about her she may not want to tell Castle about it so she tells Beckett instead.

Still totally clueless as to what the secret's gonna be, but I hope that it's worth all this speculation!

Not sure if it'd be something personal, but since it's supposed to be "explosive", then it'll definitely have an impact on the case, C/B's relationship, or both. Gah, can't it be Monday yet?Bounce2
