Boy do they ever know how to leave us hanging! The scene where Castle, Alexis, and Martha were in the dress shop was really sweet, and I love seeing the more 'serious' side of Martha.
And the little scene between Will and Kate at the hospital where he's all looped up on drugs was adorable. I can't wait to see all these relationships develop, they have such wonderful storylines.

Browser crashed while I was watching so I had to stop posting.
I LOVED this episode. I really really liked that we got to see Martha being wise and serious – that was really good, and unexpected. I loved the tears welling up in Castle when after he talked to Alexis about growing up and leaving him.
I loved the ending, I think it was the perfect way to end the season and i can't wait for the next one! I like that the finished the storyline and then kept the overall story hanging like that.

May I just say (before I forget and gush about something else) that Castle's speech to Beckett was a really nice touch to the show. We know he likes her because obviously otherwise he wouldn't be doing his 'research', but we really saw that for the first time when he told her that Sorenson's injuries weren't her fault. The slight pause before "and that's what makes you extraordinary" was the first time we'd really seen his honest feelings about her without the smart quip or witty remark for levity. I loved that.

Side note:
My mother and I couldn't help but wonder if the killer's name, Carla, was a reference to the notorious Canadian female serial killer Carla Homolka. Since both the leads are Canadian it wouldn't be surprising, and now I can't help but wonder whether it was just a coincidence or if the name Carla really was a reference to another cold-blooded murderer.

This episode was so good, the chemistry between Castle and Beckett is just amazing and between Castle and his daughter was just too sweet. I love this show…. Can't wait for it to come back (I'm going the positive thoughts route )

Love, love, love this show! The cast is great. Going to be seriously disappointed if it isn't back next season.
This is one of the few TV shows that my daughter and I watch. Granted – it is a tad risque at times, but it doesn't usually go totally sleazy and graphic like so many regular shows on prime time. And it has a plot which is a must. Overall it is a wonderful balance.
Must mention that I hate cliffhangers and was not expecting one with this show since they wrap up things so nicely at the end of each show. Must know what happens!

That was the Mother of all cliffhangers!
I watch 2-4 shows every year and I will be beyond disappointed if this show is not renewed.

Yey, Sprinkles is back! Hope they bring back Twinkie too! That should complete the love square. Hehehe!
Ack! How long do we have to wait to know what happened next? We're not even sure if there's going to be a next time…not until May 19. This show is stressing my heart too much, but I love it!
Martha is terrific! Her life coaching is not a scam after all. Way to go, Martha.

I loved the ending because it is making me wonder how these two will make up, and how Castle will help Beckett "heal" from her wounds. In the first episode he rightly described her as "wounded". Is that why she didn't leave NY with Feebee because she still wants to be in NY to solve her Mom's murder? If Castle has new info on her Mom's murder, doesn't he have to give the info to Beckett, or if she won't listen, then he has to give it to Beckett's boss. He can't just sit on the information. It will be interesting to see how Castle manages to get Beckett's forgiveness.
Great show.

You're right, CL45. I think my favorite part of the first few episodes next season is going to be Castle's way of getting back into Beckett's good graces. He's going to learn that she's not some completely untouchable cop…she's got monsters to deal with and won't stand for being danced around. And though in his mind he was doing the right thing, in hers he made the ultimate mistake–so whatever he does to make it back up to her has got to be equally big. Oh MAN, I can't wait!!

I think it's also going to be interesting to see how Esposito fits into this issue – after all, Castle couldn't have done it without his help, and interestingly, one would think having worked with her for considerably longer than Castle Esposito would know her better – perhaps he knows that Beckett really needs some answers even if she doesn't think she does.

Oooh, you're very right, Em. If it weren't for him, Castle wouldn't have gotten her mother's case information. Can't imagine how that's going to make Beckett feel…that's a tough hit from both sides. But I agree–Esposito knows Beckett well, so he probably knows what he's doing. Now let's see him try to convince her of that!

Good show, really. The pricipals are great and the stories remind me of the writing Sterlilng Sylipahant was noted for. I hope it runs for several seasons. I hate clifhangers but I've gotta see how the story evolves around Becket's Mom's death.
