Episode 4 – Hell Hath No Fury
Air Date: March 30, 2009
Plot Summary
When a body of a New York City Councilman running for re-election is found wrapped in a rug on the sidewalk, Castle and Beckett’s investigation takes them deep into the cutthroat world of New York City politics. As the new partners dig beneath the surface of the case, they discover a world of high-priced escorts, arrogant tycoons, and corrupt private investigators along with the true cost of betrayal.
Meanwhile, Castle’s final novel in the Derrick Storm series hits the bookstores, causing his mother to search for any and all signs of failure. And at one of his book readings, Beckett tries to throw Castle off his game, only to learn that he has flipped the script on her once again

I think it might have been a mistake to move this episode, I liked it a lot more than the past two!
More funny, less serious, more banter, more talk about the fact Castle's a writer. Castle being more of a wiseass (and just a bit jackass,
)
I think it works well as the fourth episode, but maybe it should have been #3. It does demonstrate NF's range as an actor. I'm still all squee about the interaction with Molly as his daughter in the last episode, but myohmy doesn't he have a devilish glint in his eye! I smiled through the entire show (god that must look weird to someone passing by).
Nikki Heat? As in In Heat ? Oh won't that be a fun episode! The exchange between NF and SK in the car was perfect. And mom didn't have a drink in her hand in this episode.
What's not to like?

OfflineI really liked it. This is the show that I wanted to see from the get go with Castle. More humor, more about Castle's writing, more of a fun, playful interaction between Castle and Beckett. Whenever they were talking about 'Nikki Heat' I really enjoyed it, especially the interaction in the car and the bit at the end 'it sounds like a stripper name.'
Oh man. I just hope all episodes are more like this one. I want more about Castle's writing career and more just fun interaction between Castle and Beckett

The writer is back!!!! (Castle, I mean, but so is Andrew Marlowe, the creator.) I LOVED the episode. Him hanging out at the precinct rather than scoping out book sales. Mom calling with, "No one's buying your book." Mom searching for some obscure negative review. What a window into their relationship! The actually book signing was the BEST. The all female audience was hanging on his every word. And Nikki Heat??! That was perfect. Loved how she showed up to mess with him at his workplace, while at the same time being flirty and furthering their sexual tension. Perfect how he just contacted the pro directly, and instead of waiting for Beckett to go through all the hoops. The pace was quick. The tone light. It was a fun, lively episode. I laughed throughout. The show is back on track. I'm happy to read the message board and see that others also feel that way!!! I am very happy.

OfflineAnother wonderful episode. Yes, the Nikki Heat bit is a riot. Great timing on Beckett's part (Stana Katic) when she was startled by Castle and pitched her coffee. Well done! I also enjoyed watching her cross over into Castle's world so she could bother him while he was working.
There's so much to like about this show. Even the props are fun. The protective glasses for onion cutting are unique, and what's not to love about an espresso machine in a cop shop. Years ago I worked as senior civilian staff for a small regional police force and we could have used one of those. LOL! Too bad we have to wait a week between episodes.

Did anyone notice that Beckett and Ryan had on similar shirts at one point?
No, missed that….But, the scene where Castle and Becket visit the campaign HQ……was that a tribute to the movie TAXI where Cybil Shepard worked and Robert DeNero tried to get a date with her? It looks like the same Manhatten location ????

Hey..! It kinda did! I'm gonna have to watch that ep again and see.
BTW–if you haven't seen Taxi Driver, I highly recommend it. Awesome performances and an incredibly intriguing protagonist in DeNiro's Travis Bickle. Also: a pre-vaseline on the camera lens Cybil Shepard.
