I wonder how far their history goes back. I get the feeling that Esposito is very brotherly to her (I know I read someone say that before somewhere, too). But there was that one scene after Kate got out of her dress (I forget the ep…Home is Where the Heart Stops, I think), where Castle mentions that they were all hoping she'd stay in the dress while investigating…Esposito gave her that once-over that was very UN-brotherly, lol.

Fun little tidbit for those who don't know. In the episode Hell Hath No Fury, the victim's name is Jeff Horn. Jeff Horn is actually the name of Laurie Zaks, one of the executive producers of Castle.
