I was wondering at the end what Beckett meant at the end of the episode when she told Castle that she had a date to go on?? I thought she liked him and just wouldn't show it, since she didnt seem like she wanted to kiss from her ex bf earlier in the episode. Was she really going on a date??

I did not have the impression she was going on a date with her ex, at any rate.

My thought was she was going out with her friend Lanie, the coroner.

I think maybe she was just saying that to make Castle jealous, she had a smart smirk on her face when walking away

Yeah, she did have the smirk, and the whole episode started with her being upset at Nikki Heat's naked book cover. That discussion over Castle knowing Nikki better may truly have been a "get back" from Beckett since they do "joust" with words a plenty and she doesn't like to admit feelings where he is concerned. We did learn she is a huge fan of his, and his books played a very important and significant role in her healing. More to come…….from Beckett methinks!
