StanaTalkRadio had a show last night with some people who had been at the panel.  Eventually you can hear the show at this link (for some reason, the 7/25 show is not available as I am typing this):

They provided some additional information on the 301 sneek peek.  I was waiting and hoping one of them would come here and post a first-hand account, but since there is nothing yet, here is what I heard:

  Sorry!  The spoiler tags seem all goofed up today.  I had to redo it 5 times to make it work!  When I would click on my spoiler nothing would show up!  I think it's good now…

except thumper…the spoiler shows in your quote!  Try to remove if you can for our patient Castle buddies!

Thank you so much for posting the Castle panels everyone! The reading of Heat Wave was hilarious, I dunno how Stana managed to even read… I've rewatched more times than I'd like to admit—got quite an ab workout from laughingl! Ahhhh and OMG @ the spoiler for 301!!

It's good to see that the panel was fantastic not only for me (or us fans) both valued as a great program of the whole convention. I've checked the Hawaii-5-0 report on their site and it is correct but with some reservation about the quality of the show.

What I'm missing more and more are the stuff from ABC. What could be the reason that they show a teaser to some hundred men on an open event but not provide it on the net? On the Castle site if you click on the CC field you got only the program, but nothing about what happened there. The staff made a fantastic promotion to the show and then the channel doesn't exploit it. Strange.

Castle seems to way ahead of the curve with promotion, tweeting, Comic Con, book tie in, etc.  It's really unique and successful way to promote their product.  I wonder how much of that is Castle, and how much of that is ABC.  Maybe ABC just needs to catch up.

The marketing department did a really great job at this – Comic-Con was the perfect opportunity to promote all aspects of the show: @WriteRCastle's twitter, Heat Wave paperback, Naked Heat, Season 2 DVD, Summer episodes and the upcoming Season 3. They took advantage of it and it was a pretty smart move on their part.

The scene showed Castle with a gun in hand standing over a dead body.

Beckett, Esposito and Ryan face him very agressively with shouts to put

the gun down.  It is indicated that he will be arrested for murder.  The

person who relayed this did not think it seemed like a dream sequence.
