OnlineWow, that HW read was stunningly funny. Even Jon's involvement…fanning Nathan…what a crack up!
I find it interesting that Stana seemed so shy about her reading. Or maybe she was just so flustered by Nathan's antics. Yet she had quite a bit of play when Nathan was reading…from taking off her coat to tossing her arms at about 1:30…adorable!
How did this read come about (what led up to it/who asked them to read)? Was it spontaneous or do you think they had a head's up?

Nathan's ability to keep a straight face is impressive.
I know, right.
It's nice to see it so raw between them, definately not rehearsed. So I am thinking if (begging) Castle lasts at least a few more seasons, what the panel and their interaction will be like a few comic cons down the line? As Stana will then be more comfortable with it all. It will be great to see, but will also make this one more precious…

Comic-Con: 'Castle' interviews
The PE team was lucky enough to snag some interviews with
the cast and crew of "Castle" and it was almost as entertaining as the
panel Sunday.
First up was Tamala Jones who plays Medical Examiner Lanie Parish.
I asked Jones if Parish was going to get an episode that was centered
around her character as most of the other cast already have.
She said there is one major story coming up that looks into her backstory and why she is who she is.
There are also a few more episodes down the road that heavily feature her character.
Some hot scoop was put out that her character is going to be falling
for someone. Someone we already know: Det. Esposito played by Jon
Huertas.
We also got a chance to talk briefly with star Stana Katic.
After seeing how much everyone was laughing during the panel, I asked Katic if going to work each day was that much fun.
Apparently it is.
"It's fun," she said. "We work long hours so you have to have fun. It's also nice to work with such great people."
She said that it's all made easy by working with such a close knit group.
Considering this was Katic's first Comic-Con she was surprised by the
amount of people that packed into the room to see the "Castle" panel.
"It's overwhelming and touching," she said. "When your working hard
on this you don't realize how many people are invested in it. It's an
onslaught of energy."
She was also asked what super hero she would like to play.
Katic told a story about how her first acting audition was for the
movie "Elektra," which was directed by "Castle" producer/director Rob
Bowman.
She did tell us that she is doing the voice for Talia al Ghul in the
next "Batman: Arkham Asylum" game coming out next year and would love to
take on that role in the big screen.
After she mentioned that I thought about how much she looks like the character and could pull it off perfectly.

I think its great how the recaps mention that Castle was the main draw this weekend…. Such great press for the show, hope it keeps up. Maybe ABC will realise now how popular it is and that there is a cult following rather than just viewers and promote it a better?
I hope so!!!
It's really strange that I think Castle is the only major show what was on the CC and ABC didn't gave out anything about it either before, during or after the event. No set photos, no promo images, the fictional movie trailer is the only official material.
I'm very glad that there were a lot of fans at the panel, otherwise we would have info close to zero. From a professional journalist point of view, they expect to get the materials about a show what a channel wants to promote, not to hunt them from fan sites and others' online reports.

OfflineThank you so much for the Comic-Con personal recaps, pictures, articles, and videos! I appreciate it very very much. I spent a few hours this afternoon scouring the Net for anything on the Castle panel. Unfortunately, the mainstream media don't provide much.
Fans, as always, have the best scoop in town.

Again, thank you, and keep 'em coming
