They have been invited, whether they attend is another matter!? We shall see what happens. I would hope she would go after her experience at the Paley event you would think she would like to. But I think back to the book signing tour and wonder why she wasn't there? Somebody on here may know that answer but we shall just have to see. Of course I would love to see a repeat of Paley as I was unfortunately not able to get there…

But the book signing is totally different. In the book signing, wasn't it just Nathan Fillion since he is supposed to be Richard Castle? I'm not sure but besides Nathan, I didn't hear about others being there.

There was a date in October in LA where Jon, Seamus, Ruben, Andrew Marlowe and more turned up, its on You tube.

You're right, it doesn't matter now that was back when the show was not so big as well, not sure when the stanatics became known to her?!! Considering she didn't start tweeting 'til this year, and then Paley so I think she is still getting used to all this hype and attention.

 

I will keep my fingers crossed anyhow, I have faith she will be there…Smile

I went to the book signing in October and spoke with Ruben Santiago Hudson, and when I asked if Stana was going to come as well, he said she wasn't feeling well, so he didn't think she was coming.  It wasn't just cast and producers, a lot of the crew came as well.  They were all so, so nice!

Yet another reason why I sometimes wish I lived on the west coast.  This would have been sooo much fun to go to.  I look forward to seeing how many cast members end up going.  But I agree that the experience might freak Stana out a little.  Lots of hardcore fans will be there undoubtedly.  Then again, she does seem to love interacting with her fans.

It's been said via several that all the cast have been invited (doesn't mean they can/will all attend) and Terri said some of the crew plan to be there too. Jon also tweeted about it so I'm pretty sure Jon & Seamus will both def be there.

To be able to go there with someone like Frank Miller, a project like that I think would've been really special because that is what Comic Con is. It's about comic fans. I'm not sure how 'Castle' ties into that but I think to be a part of that culture [is great].

I just went to the Xbox Premiere and not that Xbox fans wouldn't necessarily be comic book fans but there seems to be a close tie and what a fantastic group of creative individuals. Their thinking is so progressive and the possibilities are endless when you open yourself up to those kinds of worlds, whether they're the virtual worlds of gaming or the worlds of comic books. It's beautiful. So I'd love to go down there and meet a lot of those people. I think it's such a huge honor.

Comic Con will be officially releasing some tickets soon – follow their twitter feed for info but be warned, they sell in literally seconds, last year they released them in batches but they would sell out before people could even load the ebay page.  You need to be prepared and be aware that even though you try chances of actually getting one are slim – but that applies to everything comic-con!

Thanks… I posted all over twitter and forgot to come back and post here.  That's specifically for the Hotel/4 day pass packages and they go live on Monday.  Not sure yet how they're going to release the stand alone passes 4 day and single day passes yet.

They usually use eBay (buy out price) for the passes, they will be posted by @Comic_Con in Twitter as we get closer to SDCC.

 

Be prepared by having an ebay account and paypal account ready to get the tickets. They don't mail the passes, but you will get a confirmation e-mail that you use to pickup your passes at the convention center.

There's an article on Comic Con in this week's TV Guide (Mad Men on the cover). The biggest picture in the article is of Stana and Nathan from Famous Last Words and the quote for the picture is:

"I have a cultish niche where I, in particular, fit right in with the Comic Con crowd," Fillion says. "And also because secretly – or maybe not so secretly – I am also very much a geek inside."

 

The article is about the TV shows that are going to Comic Con this year and the categories of shows that are going – genre shows like Fringe, "the shows with tangential relationships to genre entertainment (see ABC's Castle panel, with former Firefly star Nathan Fillion, for instance)" and shows like Glee.

 

Anyway, at the end there's another quote from Nathan:

 

As for Castle's inclusion, Fillion says, "I feel like I have a safety net being in three different Joss Whedon shows, different sci-fi bits, all sort of genre-esque [projects]." The actor even makes a case for the last category of shows – Glee, Dexter, Burn Notice, Sons of Anarchy, etc. – that don't seem to quite fit in with the event's original premise. "I think that Comic Con has really transcended all," he says. "At the beginning, it was just comics, and now it's anything that a group of people can rally behind, that they can be fanatical about."
