Sarah~ Where is your baby going to be? Are you bringing her with you?
Moira is staying with her Nana for the weekend. It will be the first time we're away from her overnight!

Just in case it might be helpful for those who are going. I've never been there so I can't say if these tips work. Oh, how I wish…

OfflineThey're pretty good. But I prefer Mark Evanier's. My tips would be:
- Bring enough cash. The ATM machines will have lines just like everything else.
- There are water coolers in the back of the presentation rooms. Use them. Better yet, refill that freebie you got at the Castle panel.

- Use the comic-con website. Seriously. It's your best resource for everything, like the shuttle schedules.
- When setting a meeting place, be incredibly specific. You have no idea how much area "under the giant inflatable Pikachu" covers. Think of this like Disneyland in July in half the space with twice the people.
- Do not weep for the missed panels.
- You will miss panels. Twelve-track programming is like that. Just treat the interwebz, youtube, and twitter as if they were your DVR for these events. Between AICN, thefutoncritic, and Heidi McDonald, damn near everything you wanted to see will be covered.
- Always always always have a sharpie and an autograph book or camera on you. You never know who you're going to bump into (once, I was hanging out at a CBLDF party, and Joss Whedon showed up.)
- There's a bag check. If you're overloaded on shwag, it's probably worthwhile to use it.
- There's daycare, handicapped services, and damn near every service you can think of. Avail yourself of them.
- There's free wi-fi. (I'm posting from the hall right now, having picked up my badge, and waiting for friends to check into their hotel and do teh same).
- Elevate your feet for 20 minutes when you're back in the hotel room–it'll keep 'em from exploding the following day. In extreme cases, pack a ziplock gallon baggie and an ace bandage. Hotels always have ice and towels.
- There's a single Ralph's downtown within walking distance. the lines will be long, but it's worthwhile if you're on a budget.
- Take 10 minutes each day to go out back and leave the hall and recover from the sensory overload. This is what the Pacific Ocean is there for.

- If you've never been before… go to the Masquerade. It's not a dance/ball. It's a costume competition.
- Make friends with the people next to you in line. You're going to be together for a long time.

OfflineOh. And v.1.5.1 of the Comic-con iPhone app is seriously hosed. DO NOT LOAD IT. If you, like me, cannot upgrade to iOS4, we're just SOL. (sigh). And it was such a nice app to have last year.

OfflineFor people who aren't picking up their tickets Sunday morning, what time are you getting in line for the Castle panel?

OfflineTerri Miller tweeted last night that tickets to the VIP autograph session, limited to 100 people, will be given out inside the water bottles that are being given away. That's an interesting way to do it, at least it means that people who are dedicated enough to go to the panel will get a shot at an autograph. When I saw "Daisies", there was not enough time to get from the panel room to the autograph line before they closed it, so people were out of luck on the autographs.
I think anyone who gets a water bottle with a ticket in it is going to be singing "I've got a golden ticket" a la Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, lol.

OfflineI'm super excited to be able to go! I hope everyone who's already there is having loads of fun and warming the place up for me! I can't wait to meet all y'all who weren't at the filming tour on Saturday, and to see those of you who were there again. I'll do my best to remember my vest.
Admin – is there a specific time/place you want to meet up in the morning? I'm planning on leaving around 4 or so to drive down, which depending on traffic should put me in the area around 7am. Also, is there a phone number I can reach you at on Sunday morning? I'll most likely be wearing my Hufflepuff costume (from Harry Potter, I'll be all decked out in black and yellow) so you know what to look out for.
