Please note that this is NOT a convention as I don't have the massive budget required to pay guests to attend, it's just a group of fans getting together to have fun around a common interest.
Schedule
Friday 16th July - Casual Dinner from 6pm
Saturday 17th July – Castle Filming Location Tour – We'll be driving to a number of loctaions around LA used in the filming of Castle *
Sunday 18th July - Shakepseare performance of King Lear featuring Seamus Dever for 2:30pm matinee
* Notes on the location tour:
There will be some costs involved to cover gas for the drivers & any locations which require a fee to attend but we'll keep the costs as low as we possibly can and will try to let you know approx amt as soon as we've finalised the plans.
We'll be needing some volunteer drivers – preferably locals who are familar with the area, if you're interested in helping out please get in touch. We'll be making sure everyone contributes to the cost of gas.

OfflineI'm going to be in LA in July next year and while chatting with some fellow fans we came up with the idea of having an informal get together of CastleTV.ne friends while I'm in the area.
No details really yet, exept that it will probably be the weekend of 16-18th July while I'm in LA (the weekend before Comic Con) or the 3rd weekend of August when I'll be back in LA after a trip to Vancouver.
That sounds like fun! If you need some idea on places to gather, let me know (but only if I'm invited
)

I'll just have to live it vicariously through you Admin

OfflineNot sure where you're staying, but I highly recommend Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach. Plus, the bar they have on the roof, High Lounge, has a spectacular view of Venice Beach, the ocean, Malibu, almost a 360 view. Great place for meeting up with friends for a cocktail and a sunset view. Lifetime Southern California resident, been to many places in So Cal and the beach areas and I find the view from High Lounge pretty amazing. Full disclosure – I do know the owner, but I would love and recommend this place even if I didn't know him.
If you need any suggestions, let me know, I know a lot of places to go to in So Cal, expensive and cheap. I have lots of out of town guests (many of them Aussies
), so I've been a tour guide quite often and know the city very, very well.
