hi jwatari we've been discussing Comic Con in another thread somewhere – unfortunately most people can't get tickets (I was lucky enough to have decided to go last year so got in early)

You're right that even without Castle there's always a reasonable chance that if Nathan's not off filming somewhere or something he'll be at Comic Con :)

If you don't have time to join us for the whole weekend perhaps you could join us for the dnner friday night or to see Seamus Dever in King Lear on Sunday (To be confirmed) but I'll need to know preferably by the weekend if you think you can make it

Last year he showed up to the Brown Coats fan panel and pretty much talked the whole time with fans of FireFly, that was really nice of him, I'm not sure if he was even invited to the fan panel Bounce.

I've seen him at other panels with Joss Whedon and he is very funny and friendly in person.

Hi lonestar, Yes, it's just a fan get together, I would love to host a real convention with guests one day but unfortunately I don't have the many many thousands of dollars it costs to put together something like that.

It's shaping up to be loads of fun though and a great way to meet some other Castle fans

King Lear ticket purchased. Two metro stops from my hotel. Yay!

 

I have google maps on my phone so can help navigate if needed Saturday. I also have a truck if there is an extra body to ferry Sat. though it looks covered.  Depending on the expected end time I may take my truck as I have to boogie over to Accomplice that afternoon.

 

Dinner is one metro stop from my hotel. Double Yay!

 

Admin is awesome for organizing this.  It takes a fair amount of work to do it locally, even more long distance.

Anyone try to get Craig Ferguson tickets yet? I followed the links from the CBS website, and it took me to another website to request tickets. The July 19th date has 2 links against it, one for the talk show guests and one for the musical guest – not sure if they are 2 different shows, so I just requested one for the talk show guests link. I'll keep you posted, I just put down 1 ticket request because I wasn't sure if anyone else had tried yet.

 

Also, when I looked up the talk show guests for that week, on Tuesday, JB Smoove (aka the Wordsmith/Locksmith from Love Me Dead) is scheduled to be a guest if anyone is interested in going.

My ticket request for Craig Ferguson was accepted, so I have a ticket to go on Monday and Tuesday – I doubt if I want to go both days, but I wanted to keep my options open. I want to go to this Paley forum with the writers of Modern Family on Monday night, but I might be able to make both if I am lucky.

Anyone interested in joining me for any of this? I'm fine with going by myself, but I know a handful of people were interested in going, at least to the Craig Ferguson show.
