Offlinei am going to post this in both events and here but i wanted to let you all know that nathan is being honored with kids need to read.
The Edwin P. Hubble Medal of Initiative will be presented to PJ Haarsma, Denise Gary, and Nathan Fillion for their work with Kids Need to Read. The award is Marshfield, Missouri’s highest honor and is presented annually in honor of their native son and namesake of the Hubble Telescope. The three KNTR founders will be honored during the Hubble Dinner on April 27, 2012.
this dinner happens during the cherry blossom festival in marshfield, missouri. what a great award that nathan pj and denise will recieve. past recipients include lady bird johnson, former president george hw bush and mrs bush.

OfflineUPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!
since we are now within a months time of the festival i thought i would just post this update to the festival being held down in marshfield. my hubby and i are definately planning on attending as we are taking the weekend off to enjoy a well needed break (plus most likely the last time we will be just by ourselves with the little one on the way)
here is the website for info on the festival. theres a link on the festival page that will take you to the chamber of commerce website so you can find out more information about the town. it looks like its going to be quite the whos who among well known people attending the fest.
sadly cause of probably(guessing here or even might be wrapping season finale stuff) making the new percy jackson movie nathan wont be able to attend but both pj harsma (hope i spelled it right) and denise from kids need to read will be attending.

OfflineThanks for the update Kelly.
I suppose it is wishful thinking with all the technology available, that they could video link to wherever Nathan is?
It would be so awesome if he could interract with them during the event and receive his award.
Sounds exciting though. I am so pleased that his hard work with KNTR is being acknowledged.
