Yay, you're coming too Sheryll? We've got quite a crowd going from this board alone.  The venue isn't that big, I think we're gonna dominate the room smile

I'm leaning towards ordering one of those new Castle shirts to wear to the event smile

I don't think they're using the archlight location any more, as far as I know they didn't' hold the Paley Festival events there this year.

Oh really? I'm not sure because there wasn't anything I wanted to see, I only checked the site for Castle and when I didn't see it, I didn't look any further.  Wonder where they held Paleyfest? There is no way that the little theater at the Paley Center could accomodate the crowds that would come along wtih the Glee cast.  Both events that I went to in the dome were sold out and I'm sure they want to keep up those ticket numbers.

I notied that Laurie Zaks posted on Twitter that the Castle event sold out in 10 minutes, not even an entire hour.  That's pretty darn impressive!!

I would like to assist Castle friends here who are attending the Evening with Castle.

I was born and raised in the area where the event is taking place.

It is being held separate from The Paley Festival at

Paley Center For Media

www.paleycenter.org
465 North Beverly Drive

Beverly Hills, CA 90210-4601

This is off the 405 freeway which happens to be one of the busiest freeways in the world.
Parking is free after 6 PM on the streets. There are parking lots with up to two hours parking during the day and can be costly there are few side streets to park on so if you can car pool or park after 6 PM best, or they will tow away any cars parked over two hours. They mark the cars tires with meter white chalk.
The box office will not open until 6 PM. This is the " WILL CALL window where you must line up to get your tickets.
The theater won't open until 6 PM. Seating is allowed after 6 PM inside
Dress is Business casual
This is a press/media attended event so few tickets were sold to the public, most went to media outlets.
There are two theaters one seats 150 people this is where the cast and discussion panel will be.
There is also a small theater closed caption with screen viewing only of the panel .
Holds limited seating separate from the bigger theater where cast is.
Both sections sold out before 10 AM  PST.
 No assigned seating.
Cameras are allowed after panel discussion but not during slide shows / videos or talks. No videos allowed copyright laws.
 No flash .
Check at events when you enter for security check point. All cell phones must be turned off.
No standing on seats or in aisles during panel discussions.
Hosts of theater will tell you when you are allowed to take photos and if it will be allowed.
Audience will be allowed to ask questions if enough time left after media/press.
Discussion should last about 2 hours.
There is wheel chair access/ hearing devices in small screen closed caption theater. No vision impaired seating.
I hope that helps those that are going. It is a very nice location in an up scale area of Beverly Hills but remember to stick together and stay close to lighted areas. Keep your purses and valuables out of sight while walking to the center.
Have a great time.

This is from the Paley website.  It looks like they have a private parking lot that unbelievably for L.A. is FREE (Is the info you have more accurate/updated, Pamfromcalif?):

Los Angeles

From 405 (San Diego Freeway):
Exit at Santa Monica Blvd. Travel east approx. 3 mi. to N. Beverly Dr.
Turn right on N. Beverly Dr.

From 10 (Santa Monica
Freeway):
Exit at Robertson Blvd. North. Travel north approx. 4
mi. Turn left on Burton Way. Travel approx. 2 mi. to N. Beverly Dr.
(Burton Way becomes S. Santa Monica Blvd.).

By bus:
Metro Bus routes 704 and 4 run along Santa Monica Blvd. and stop
directly adjacent to the Paley Center. Routes 720 and 20 run along
Wilshire Blvd., three blocks south of Santa Monica Blvd., and stop at
Beverly Dr. For more information about public transportation
alternatives in L.A., click
here
.

The Paley Center is on the corner of N. Beverly Dr. and
S. Santa Monica Blvd. Click here
for map.

Parking is available for free to the general public in
the Paley Center parking lot located off S. Santa Monica Blvd.

Lickerish:  I sent you a PM about a ride to the Paley Center.

3PM today the theater host said the lot is tiny and for their staff and discussion panel guests only.

They said good luck with the parking there is a Barrell store across the street amongst some other lots but parking is limited to two hours until after 6 PM unless you can luck out and find a side street and park and they often have signs no parking from 8 AM – 6PM so the garbage trucks and delivery trucks can move through the old narrow streets of BH.

They pretty much said the place is so tiny that people don't line up early they come after 6 PM and walk right in but they have yet to meet Castle people!

When you don't have assigned seating it is first come first serve but they often save the first few rolls for family, friends and patrons of the theater so no matter how early you line up there, they are going to have the good seats taken.

It is a small venue so most seating will be awesome. I am vision impaired and I find anything from the 5th roll back I might as well watch on TV – concerts, plays and so on.

People can try and park in the parking lot maybe they won't say anything not sure what the signs they have posted say. I only know what I was told today when I called and talked to the staff.

You are welcome. Just have fun and enjoy it all. It is a rare treat. I'd sit in a tree to do this but seating is much more comfortable inside the theater, but don't quote me ok!

I think it's awesome that it sold out this quickly. I remember Bones started out this way and look at the monster it has turned into. Here's hoping…

Have fun all you lucky people!

You're welcome smile

Oh and regarding parking in Beverly Hills, I had no problems finding parking across the street, there are various lots in BH, none are free so definitely be prepared to pay, everything in BH costs money.  My friend and I parked, got dinner at a fast food mexican place on the Paley side of the street and and then lined up.  There are other restaurants and places to eat in the area also, including some good cupcake shops, Sprinkles & Crumbs.
