Yes, it's a bit difficult to think of things to ask since he always comes in.. but I've got a few anyway! Pick and ask any ones you like, Admin. I just figured I'd post a few in case people couldn't come up with any.

  • When you wrote the episode (Suicide Squeeze), did you already know that Joe Torre was going to be in it — and wrote a baseball episode around that? Or did you already have the episode written and Joe was kind of a sudden addition? Or neither?
  • Who's idea was it to have so much "4th-wall breakage" when it comes to certain episodes (ie. Blue Pill website, songs on iTunes, Vampire Website etc), yours or someone else's? Will we be seeing more of that this season? It's totally awesome.

Not Castle-related, but still fun nonetheless:

  • What was it like for you to write the Firefly stories after so many years?
  • What's something you like to do when you're not writing, working, or sleeping? :)

Can he be honest with us, and tell us which of the characters is really his favorite, and why?

If the stars aligned, and the people needed were all free to do it, what kind of episode would you write that would utilize the talents of ALL these guest stars: Jewel Staite, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Summer Glau and Ron Glass?

Thank you for being here with us, Jose!

1. When you tweet, I can't help but sometimes think that you remind me of Captain Mal. How much of you is Mal?

2. How much improv done by the actors ends up in any given episode?

3. How do you write for the opposite sex, in your case, a woman?

4. You've got a crack team of writers. Did you help write the "Castle Bible/Writers Guide"? How do you decide how far to push a character's boundaries if it's needed? How do you decide on what a character would do or not do in extreme situations; such as, "Oh, Castle or Beckett would do this, but not that."?

5. Do you think you'd enjoy directing, too?

What did you want to be growing up? Did you always envision being in the entertainment industry or was it baseball or….?
Do you know who is writing the Delany episodes?

Where do you draw your inspiration?

Are you really a vampire? When do you sleep? :)

We love you Jose. Keep it shiny.

Let me tell you something about crazy people. The sex is unbelievable.

While Castle clearly has an amazing team of writers, do the actors ever just improv on some of the scenes? Does much of that make it in to the final cut of the show? Can you give us a fun example?

I probably won't be able to make the chat (too late for me) but I have a few questions:

Thanks for stopping by Jose!

You're worked on shows that had been running for a few seasons, as well as shows that were brand new to the airwaves. Which is more challenging, joining a show mid-stream or helping a new show establish itself? Which is more satisfying?

If you could take on the identity of any character you've written or developed, which would it be and why?

- Who improvises or adlibs more, Stana or Nathan? And when does, how quickly does the other come up with their own improv or adlib?

- Will we see Beckett's old flame FBI Agent Will Sorenson again?

- Will we see Kate's father again?

- I think that it's nice that Alexis feels comfortable coming to Beckett for an advice. Will we see that relationship develop more this season and carry on over to the next season?

1.) How did you get into writing for tv and what advice do you have for those trying to break into the industry?

2.) What do you enjoy writing more, scripts or short stories?

3.) How invested do you get in your characters when you write?

4.) What are some good tricks to bust through writers block?

5.) Who is the favorite character you have ever written for?

I've noticed that some of these questions were asked during Jose's last chat. Don't forget that you can look at the past transcripts to see these answers! (I just don't want you guys to be sad when he's not asked these questions for his second time).

I have a question:

What would you say was the most difficult episode script for you to write, whether it was getting facts straight or character development conflicts or some other reason that just made it rough to write?

So, I've got two questions for Jose.

First of all, Jose, this is SO awesome that you take the time to do this. I love the show, and I just have to pass along the fact to that my fiance and his unit in Kuwait loves the show too (they've been watching Season 1). So, without further ado, my questions:

1. If money and time and space were not an issue, what would be the next project you'd like to work on? (Which is hopefully years and years and years down the road after Castle is over with, of course.)

2. I LOVE the song choices in episodes, particularly the use of Pearl Jam's 'The End' in Sucker Punch. When you're writing a script for the show, do you ever find yourself thinking something like 'Ooh! They should use this song here!' or something like that? How involved is the writer of an episode in that process?

Castle has so many excellent guest stars: Reed Diamond, Ray Wise. Do you think about the possible guest actors when you're writing the part, or leave that to Casting?

Ok.. soooooo there are a bunch of us Psych/Castle Fans who are wondering if the whole singnature 'Shawn Spencer *hand to head* "I'm sensing something"' thing was intentional?

haha! Bounce

We Psych fans thought it was hilarious. We're just curious if it was indeed a Shout-Out to Psych, especially seeing as how you had the incomparable Ray Wise on this ep (since he was on the first part (Episode title: The Devil is in the Details.. and the Upstairs Bedroom.) of season 4 of Psych). If this was the case, I tip my hat to you sir…

Hey Jose,

You knocked it outta the park with Suicide Squeeze, tonight! Thank you for a great show, as always!

Once again you touched on subjects metaphysical, which is a topic I enjoy. You mentioned tarot cards before, and tonight you brought up mind reading. Okay, the mind reading thing was playfully done, but it got me wondering: Are you into the psychic realms? Do you read tarot cards? Have you had any life-changing intuitive experiences?

Thank you again for your wonderful writing, and for being here with us!Wave

Another home run!

How many takes did you have to do for that catch scene at the precinct, where Beckett snags the ball?

Who decides what goes into the spoilers/promos released the week before the episode airs?

Of episodes already aired, is there any particular scene that has caused disagreements in the writers room, that eventually did make it to the final tv show?

Since it is a a given that there will be a Season 2 DVD are you guys recording anything special behind the scenes as you go along, giving  thought to DVD extras, etc?  Maybe a Castle video game on the Blue ray release :)

There have been a few scenes on screen that are similar to things that happened in Heat Wave, coincidence or not?

Thanks a bunch for taking time to chat with us!Laugh

I have a couple of questions for Jose,

How did you get into script writing? did you take a course or fall into it.

Also if you can say, do you have a favourite episode and if so, why?

Thanks for dropping in so often to chat to us, we all adore that you do. We have the shinest cast/crew of any show on TV

Thanks for participating in another chat, Jose.

1) Is anyone on the cast a baseball fan, and were they excited about meeting Joe Torre? I know that in interviews, people mentioned the crew was excited, but no one mentioned the cast.

2) What's great about Castle is that it can switch in tone depending on the episode and even the scene, yet it all still feels like Castle. Who decides what kind of overall tone each episode takes? Are you forced to write a heavy episode just because the ones before it are more light-hearted, just to get a balance?

3) Do you get a decent break between seasons of a TV show, or do you have a short break and then have to get back to writing the next season?

4) I liked the fact that Castle has come to terms with the fact that he may never know who his father is. Are we ever going to find out why Martha wants to keep it a secret ? It sounds like she knows who it is.

Hi Jose, thanks for coming to chat.

I love a good love triangle/quadrangle, but only if it's developed over a period of time longer than an episode, (say a season or longer). Any chance of this happening?

Castle said about his freshman year one night stand, "not a week goes by I don't think of her". This Alison made quite an impression on him, I'd say. Will we get to see her on the show ever?

WriteRCastle has twittered several times in the past few days about Castle having a mysterious new neighbor with a dog. Is this something we are going to see on the show some time soon?
