We arrive at Remy's and he finds us a table in the corner. Our waitress appears and Castle orders for both of us. I watch him, I'm surprised, he ordered exactly what I wanted. Again, I wonder how he does this to me. The waitress leaves with our order and he looks at me. “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ordered for you.” “It's okay Castle. You actually ordered what I normally would order.” He seems to relax a little and smiles at me; my stomach does a flip. We talk as we wait for our food. But, strangely not all “shop” talk. We talk about Alexis, Martha and the new Broadway show that she's in and that it should be opening up in a few days. Castle tells me that Martha has a ticket for me and would like me to attend. I'm touched that she would think of me and agree to meet Castle and Alexis for opening night. He asks me about my dad and if he's still visiting with our relatives. I tell him he is, but that he should be home later next week.

As we are finishing up our meal, we talk a little about the case. Castle mentions how he hopes Mickey makes out okay and that he's going to call him in a few days, maybe he can find a way to help him out. I know that by Castle's genuine concern for Mickey, that he will follow up with him and help him anyway that he can. It's this side of Castle, the one that doesn't act like a 12 year old, that I love. I almost choke on the last of the shake that I was just drinking. You look at me funny, “Are you okay.” “Yep … I'm fine.” You excuse yourself and I watch you head to the restrooms.

My mind is spinning; love. I'm not sure what to think about this or how I really feel about it. Could it be possible, can I be in love with this man? This man that irritates me but who has somehow managed to break through my walls. I don't have much time to really reflex on this, you have returned and are waiting for me. “Are you okay?” Again, I answer that I'm fine. We walk out and your car service is waiting at the curb. I tell you I can take a cab, I need some distance, but you tell me to get in, you're dropping me off at my apartment. I look at you and decide not to argue.

We make it to my apartment in what seems to be record time and I get out. I don't expect you to get out with me. “Castle I'm fine.” “Yes, so you have told me eight times in the last half hour. What's wrong?” “Nothing” and I pass it off that I'm tired. He seems to be okay with it and we walk to the top of the stairs. I turn to say good night to him and he's standing close to me. We look at each other for what seems to be forever, neither of us speaking. He watches me, as he picks my hand up and brings it to his mouth. He surprises me when he turns my hand, palm up and places a kiss on the inside of my hand. Again, my stomach does a little flip. He reaches with his other hand and runs him thumb along my bottom lip and I can't breath. You lean forward and my eyes close, but to my surprise, you kiss my cheek. I open my eyes as you pull back, drop my hand and your thumb from my lips. “Until tomorrow Detective.”

I'm currently working on a new fan fiction, not from any of the episodes.  It's about going to about Castle taking her to see Martha in the Broadway show.  May take a few days to finish.
