Hey fellow Castle fans!
I just wanna throw out an idea…I was thinking that there could be a Castle fanfest, my friend is a die-hard Chuck fan and they had a ChuckFest where the fans totally organized an event in LA at some restaurant and some other location where they had games and prizes and such and surprise surprise, at the restaurant, the cast of Chuck was gracious enough to head over to the restaurant and visit the fans. There was a fee to be paid and it was a bit pricey ($100 something to cover costs of renting out a restaurant, prizes…) Sooo, I don't have an "in" to get the cast to meet fans or anything but since we all love the show, there should be a Castle fanfest. Meet some new people, organize some fun things to do, I know awhile back, someone was tweeting a Castle fan get-together in LA and they tweeted some photos where Castle shot some scenes in LA, kinda like a guess where we are scavenger hunt or other, maybe even have a Castle season 2 marathon lol. If someone wanted to be the head-honcho on this, I would totally go 
Again, just an idea…

We did this back in July You'll find all the details in the Events section of the forums. I do hope to be able to do it again next time I'm in LA. We didn't charge anyone anything, people paid for their own meals etc and I donated the prizes and stuff myself. The cast were too busy to stop by but we did get to say hi to Seamus after we went to see him perform in King Lear.

Not to be difficult or anything, but has anyone given any thought to having something like this on the East Coast, instead of in LA? I know LA lends itself better because of the possibility of getting a member of the cast or crew, or doing a location tour, etc., but to be honest, i'm starting to feel really left out of all the fun going on on the West Coast. Just a thought.

I host the official CastleTV.net one in LA because that's where I usually am when I'm in the US – I'm not sure if I could do one in the East because I don't have any connections there to work with – it's hard doing everything by remote.
Any fan can organise a local get-together with other fans though.. all you have to do is let people know about it. But be careful you don't do anything to step on ABC's toes (eg.. showing episodes in public is a big no no). You'll also have no chance of getting any of the Cast/Crew to attend (Unless you have many many thousands of dollars for appearance fees & business class flights & accommodation that is ).
Who knows.. maybe one of the large convention companies will done day put on an official convention – but even then it's likely to be in LA because all the cast & crew live and work there and they are SO busy they can't take time out to fly across the country.

I should you should host one New827! You guys could always meet-up in New York and go to locations used in the first episode.

Nev, it also sucks being in the SOUTHeast. No one ever comes here or does anything close to NC. LOL…I gave up years ago.

I actually thought about that, sarah_darling, but I don't have a lot of time to plan anything right now because of other commitments, and then, before we know it, we're into the holidays and after January 1, my work gets really busy. Maybe for next summer…I'd need help though. I typically come up with really lame ideas for conventiony kind of things.

I can help with ideas, but planing, not so much (since I'm in Cali).

It sucks being right in the middle of the US where it's difficult to go to any of the big cities.
I guess if I knew before hand if there was another one, I could try to plan for it.

if only we do ones in other countries as well… never been to LA and would love to sometime in my life… we in Australia always feel so isolated…. we are like in the middle of nowhere and isolated from the rest of the world as we have to fly to everywhere being on an island and all…

There has been one small meetup in Australia – problem is us Aussies are all so spread apart it makes it hard. I'd happily arrange something in Melbourne but I'm not sure how many could make it.

I was just about to start a thread about this. Did you end up getting many people to the event?
I am on the Gold Coast and wondering if there were many fans here or Brisbane?
