so i offically have a bunch of favorite dates in my head…

3/9/09 (castle' premiere)

5/18/09 (when they told us they renewed castle for a second season)

9/21/09 (when the season 2 of castle premiered)

10/20.09 (when they told us castle has been picked up for a full season)

(a date i forgot) when they told us castle was extened from 22 to 24 episodes

and finally 3/30/10 when castle was renewed for a full 22 episode season!!!!!! i swear i was crying from happiness when i heard about this!!!!!!! GO TEAM CASTLE!!!!!!!!Bounce

The news continues to be good for Castle. After hitting a series high with last night’s conclusionof the two-part serial killer event (14.5 million viewers, the Alphabet’s best scripted performance in the time slot in 14 years), word came today thatABC has renewed the show for a 22-episode third season. That’s the power of Rick Castle/Nathan Fillion’s charm (they really are one in the same) and of a smart, sexy woman packing heat (Stana Katic). Let’s also give props to ABC for giving the show time to grow and a solid lead-in. (Cough, Better Off Ted, cough.)

spinja the reason i had that on the front page is to draw people here who were searching the web for "is castle cancelled" to try to counteract all the negative talk from the savecastle group making everyone think it was in trouble – that term is the FOURTH MOST SEARCHED TERM from people searching about castle on the web so I needed to do something to tell people that no, it was not about to be cancelled.

So… now there's notes on the front page to say that there's a season 3 but I wanted to explain WHY that had to be there in the first place.
